Pig and Traps

When you play as pig and you put a trap on someone's head do you go after them even if the timer hasn't even started yet? Or even if it has? Like my assumption was you want to leave the people with trapped heads alone for a bit and go after people WITHOUT traps, in order to increase pressure. What's the point of trapping someone if you're just going to chase them right after anyway?

Am I missing something?

Nope her trap effect addons like exhaustion or mangled are pretty useless.

I trap them hook them move on to the next. That's the point of the trap is to add pressure.

I trap them and leave them unless I see them I’ll hit them and then leave just to waste a little more time.

Well maybe the add-ons, Idk, I haven't really played pig yet? But I thought the whole point of putting a trap on someone was to get them to (hopefully, if they don't get it off in the first attempt) waste time searching boxes, giving you time to pressure gens or chase and down other survivors? Otherwise you just game them a fancy helmet for...reasons???

If I see them at a box I might go to them and slug them, depends on the gen count and if I'm in a chase.

    Alright so, here's the tip.

Ok so, you've made your first knock down in the match, you trap their head, hook them. <----BOOM Rush and get into another chase.

That person who is trapped is not only hooked, but as soon as they get off the hook they can't go rush gens....I mean they could....and then kill themselves but ey, you get the drift.

You should be utilizing your traps in a way so that every single 1 of those survivors has a chance to get trapped, because thats time leading them away from the main objective, which is gens.

If you see a person running around with a trap on their head as you're either starting another chase, or looking for a chase to start, if they have time ticking, just slug them IE a red helmet. Thats bait, its gonna force their team to heal and if you're good it lets you start another chase immediately pathing toward survivors moving to help the knocked out person. If the survivors aren't playing altruistically then just hook the red helmet and force them to again....get off gens.

Just because a person has a helmet on, DOES NOT MAKE THEM IMMUNE don't care what anyone says, if the clock is ticking, or even if the clock isn't ticking, if a helmeted survivor plays stupid and makes stupid mistakes punish them for it.

At any given time you may end up with 3 survivors with helmets on their heads ^ which means you have no reason to slack up and "allow" them to do a jigsaw box.

Control the pressure of the game, spread the pain, force as many survivors as possible to play the game at the same time. Get hooks, forcing them to stop what their doing and unhook, utilize slugging, to again force survivors to focus on another objective besides gens, bring a hex if you want, again, forcing survivors to focus on objectives besides gens.

Thats what makes pig powerful. Forcing survivors to do things they aren't used to doing.....and due to the human condition, this is enough most times to have them make mistakes and kill themselves better than you ever could.

Yeah that's the reason. You usually shouldn't chase them after putting a trap on EM.

As a pig main I normally leave trapped active helmets alone unless they are dumb enough to stay on a jigsaw box as I'm checking gens but even then I'll slug that person as it gives me pressure.

Something suriviors need to realize is that if your on a box does not exclude you from being hit.

Plus if you doing one blantky in my face with no regard you earned your death.

But I don't actively look for boxes or check them.
