It's no big deal but can myers get his walking animation back? His new one doesn't suit him at all.

Myers shares the same base model likes trapper. They changed trappers animation but forget that myers has the same model internally. Maybe intended or a typical oversight. They changed a lot animations.

Deathslinger's new Animation actually looks better. It looks more menacing.
It's weird that People complain about Myers movement since it's the same Animation while he walks in EW II

It's missing his limp.
It'S those little details that make a character. you wouldn't want huntress or hag sashaying like plague, would you?

the problem is that you have difficulty in accepting change. it's normal though. some have it harder than others. its human nature.
If the -said- killer was released with a totally different animation u would have accepted it that way and if it was changed to the animation we now know u would have asked for a change to the original too.

with both Myers and Caleb we would probably KNOW something is off had they had different animations from the start.
With caleb we would have wondered 'isn't he supposed to have a limp?' and some would have called the devs 'lazy' and 'uncaring' for not putting extra work into animating it.

Same with the Wraith years ago they changed his animation because it was unfinished. Maybe same with Deathslinger his endscreen animation was a placeholder to release. Same with Myers to release he had a completly other animation. Finishing animation needs time sometime days/months or years.

Part of the appeal for dbd is the fantasy of it. It's not meant to be a super realistic game, but the animations need to sell to the viewer that they're looking at someone who's killed a ton of people. If it doesn't do that, then the appeal is lost.

The problem is Myers comes from a film, he has his own weird way of walking and they should leave as close as possible to the source material, the new animation has too much gesticulation.

why would the unfinished animation be more in line with a character's lore than the finished one?

to keep the release date for the killer maybe. making animation is a lot of work. its not so easy as we think.
What i said Myers shares the same base model from the trapper. maybe the messed up the code for him. look exactly to his right (or left?) hand..same as the trapper holding the traps.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who cares about the small details of a game. Like it's just an animation I know that but at the same time myers is my favorite killer from a movie. He has his own walk and at first the devs gave him a good walk that suited him because they made it like the movies. Like imagine plague walking like hag or oni running like wraith. Stupid right? Because it doesn't suit them as a character.

I was talking about Deathslinger.
It doesn't make much sense to have the placeholder animation include is limp, but not the finished one

We dont know about deathslinger its intended or not. but i like this animation more as the old one. same for executioner.
maybe they messed the code completly up again. i dont know. when its intended we must live with that.
