MMR is too harsh on new players
Hello,
This is my first post and first time playing DBD (currently have about 30 hours into the game).
The new MMR system is pretty unfair towards us new players. I'm trying to learn both the survivor and killer roles and every game is like the following:
I'm a level 15 survivor and get put with survivors of my level, sometimes I get a red rank on my team and the killer is 80% of the time a rank 1... Obviously we get stomped on hard with some matches lasting only a couple of minutes with no generators done.
The other extreme is also true I get put with red/purple ranks and the killer is a rank 20 who doesn't know how to kick a pallet... In this case we all escape with 0 hooks.
As a level 17 killer I get put with multiple red/purple SWF teams that run rings around me/gen rush me. Sometimes they get the gate open and use the rest of the time to pallet/loop/tbag/flashlight me constantly..
I thought when playing a certain killer for the first time you get put against fellow newbie survivors? I played the pig for the first time and was immediately met with the same red/purple SWF squads and got stomped on :(
I know the best way to overcome this is to Git Gud, however I don't have a lot of perks (especially teachables) I have no good perks as survivor and I only have NOED on one of the killers (ghostface) which I don't want to rely on. I can't get many BP due to being destroyed the majority of games..
Some rank 1 killers I get even remove all their perks, I'm assuming they already know they're going to be put against noobs?
I've played over 10 games as the survivor and the killer, however the situation doesn't change, will MMR eventually even out or do I have to play against people with 1000x the hours I have every game?
I would like to get good but this is like a newbie at chess going against a GM every game xD
I like the game but without any decent perks like DS/BT/DH etc. I don't really stand a chance :(
The toxicity of the survivors when playing killer puts me off playing killer at all until this is sorted.
Sorry about the long post but this is just my thoughts on MMR as a new player to DBD.
