We know how the devs feel about gamemodes but what about styles?
Ie instead of different gamemodes people que for, having the same base game, but differing objectives for survivors and killers in the same que.
Ie like in a game like overwatch. You'll que up for a match and occasionally it will be a control the position vs a straight up deliver a payload etc.
Something in dbd could be added similarly, with differing objectives to open exit gates for survivors, with different opening title cards denoting gameplay ie the standard would be " complete 5 gens to escape!" Whereas an altered variant could be do ex repair to escape, or find ex items and deliver them to certain points (with the killer downing and returning the item to said point automatically, which would move around to prevent killer camping)
Things like that, to create different games within the same base game.
