Spirit with short hair, what other cosmetics give advantages or disadvantages either side?
So the obvious answer is p3 Blendette, even after the change she’s still dark giving an advancing a lot of maps.
As a usually rule of thumb darker is better and brighter is a disadvantage but anything specific you refuse to use because it’s so bad or a go to because you feel it’s really good?
Whenever I play spirit I almost always go with the headband for her hair, as I think her typical high hair style probably gives the survivor at least some advantage at loops right?
I remember Tru playing against the blighted Clown and he could literally see him through the bad clouds because the head is so bright so that’s a negative I guess.
The is also of course the reverse mind game as survivor of going with a super bright outfit so the killer thinks you want chased and therefor leaves you alone. But that’s hit or miss as most will chase whoever they see and they tends to be you.

Because I hate when people call me one, I use the halo for Claudette just so I can't be called a Blendette.

Almost every skin in the game is a disadvantage, some few are advantageous. Personally, I like to run Spirit with the armour and white hair, just to show off how absolutely screwed anyone that sees me is. I have so little fear I don't care if people spot me. I'm a Spirit.
Also, Red Ghostface. Enough said.

Hag’s rare (green) headpiece that looks like a undercut dreadlock ponytail makes her her shortest stature. You can see a lot of streamers use it on their Hag, notably Otzdarva and Hexy, regardless of the body cosmetic they choose.
One of my favorites is that Clown’s pink elephant cosmetic makes him blend into his tonic clouds.

Pig's black jacket and greyish head (with ears pointed more forwards than upwards) feel like they help a little, especially on some maps.

All female survivors can hide behind things the male ones can't and crouch lower to the ground, especially Feng/Meg/Claudette. Add in dark skin/hair and cosmetics and they're practically invisible for free. No perks or add-ons required. When I play survivor, Claudette is the go to, even though I'd rather play Bill or Ash, because it's so broken. I only solo queue and whatever advantage I can get as such, I'll use.
When I was going for anniversary crowns across all characters the advantages and disadvantages became very clear. Zarina was last on my survivor list and took forever because her default skin has a giant glowing "come kill me" sign on her hip in the form of a cellphone, and as a fairly new player, I don't have much else to work with.
There are also pronounced advantages based on injured/falling/breathing/etc noises. Some are much louder than others.

Nurse's black Reaper Wedding Gown (https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/File:Nurse_outfit_005.png) makes her really hard to spot at a distance, especially on McMillan and indoor maps.

Not sure how many know this but Clown has a pretty OP cosmetic. The evil Santa one, where he carries a sack on his back. Besides the presents and lights, you can also find an arm. If you turn quickly enough, that arm can actually swing and hit a survivor for 1 health state. If done successfully, the hand will actually give the middle finger on a down.

Certain survivors like Ace and Kate have significantly quieter injured cries than others. Plus females have smaller models than males, so you can see more of the screen.

To me, It really doesn't matter how short the hair, or dark the cosmetics when it comes to playing killer because while the cosmetics may make them blend in a little better, they all still have the "lighthouse effect" red stain giving away their position from across the map. This is what makes stealth killers, or killers using stealth perks like Dark Devotion more of a threat. As soon as a killer gains the Undetectable status, regardless of their height or cosmetics, they lose their tell-tale red stain and terror radius. People already Heavily complain about deathslinger because of his Smaller than average TR, but because he's so tall and has the red stain, he's still easy to spot, but can you imagine how much more people would complain if it became common for Deathslinger players to equip perks that gave him Undetectable?
Some examples: Hag with Dark Devotion is a major threat to survivors because it takes that red stain away from her, but aside from Michi, you really don't see many Hag main streamers using it. Spirit loses her red stain every time she passively phases, which gives her the advantage of not being easily spotted from any range, but you don't see killer players running her 2 add-ons that increase the passive phasing frequency and duration that much either. If you want something terrifying, go up against a dark cosmetics legion running stealth perks. They're already short, and highly mobile, so gaining undetectable while wearing dark cosmetics is a surefire way to catch survivors off guard and ensure chained stabs, but again, you don't see many legion players utilizing stealth perks for some reason. The shape is tall af, and because of his bright white mask he's also easy to spot, but time and time again survivors get caught off guard by him when he's in the first stage of his power because he's undetectable, but can you imagine how much worse it would be for survivors if it became common place for him to run stealth perks, especially when he reaches EW3 and can insta-down everyone?
Overall what I'm getting at is that as long as the killers have a red stain and TR, they are easy to spot regardless of their cosmetic choices, height or range, so unless you take those things away by going undetectable, you gain no advantages whatsoever with your cosmetic choices.

Also I guess you have thr killers who tunnel certain skins, especially when they’re new... I saw Bunny fengs get ruthlessly tunnels for a week or so

I love dark devotion, its one of my favorite killer perks. You can make use of it with a lot of killers, like Myers in T3 with no terror radius.. my favorite.

Most of the Halloween blight body skins are major disadvantages. Hag's Halloween body makes her into a walking lighthouse.

People say to look out for the hair animation changing (which takes a single frame btw lol) however on short hair cosmetics you can see it even less than usual.

For Ghostface:
The silver mask slightly reflects the world, so it is a little bit more difficult to spot the mask as apposed to a white one.
The classic Ghostface shroud is more black than the default outfit and the floating strips/cloth is a little bit harder to see. The prestige outfir is like this but to a lesser degree than the classic shroud.
