Prestige ranks. Is it worth resetting for better add-on chances?
Looking at the wiki it seems to give higher chances at 'rarer' items, but that seems like it could either not matter at all, or in the case of certain killers maybe even be a nerf because their reds are terrible, and higher ranked add-ons also cost more BP.
What about for survivors? I use med kits the most, as a solo queuer, is it worth it for them? Do people only do this for the blood stained clothes?

The add-on chances are extremely slight and very unnoticeable most of the time. Prestige isn't really worth it unless you really like the character or want bloody clothes.

It's just prettier to see P3 next to the level 50, thus I heard they planned to rework prestiges, so it might be worth it to do it now than later.

It's not worth it. The amount of BP you need to get P3 is so much you would be better off just using that BP to continue off the regular bloodweb if you want add ons.
P3 is only worth it if you want one of th cosmetics or if your swimming in useless BP.

A test once concluded the chance increases are up to a max of 2%.
Of course, they may be higher, they may be lower, and it was just the one person.
But considering what people in general experience with their chances on the Bloodwebs, 2% doesn't sound too far off.
It's really not worth it at the moment unless you want that bloody stuff.
But hey, if they suddenly increase the chances of give other benefits to Prestige, if you do it now, you'll already have it by the time they add that.

No, Don't even bother. I used to prestige my characters for the P3 cosmetics but after the shop was added; I don't even bother with prestige. Rarity increase is unnoticeable.

Is it worth it, no. I notice zero difference. The cosmetics are meh. The reason I p3 someone is I don't want to regret my decision later. I'm worried if I lvl a killer I like to 50 but don't prestege them. I just pour more points into them to unlock everything. Then one day I decide I want that bloody cosmetic. All those points I poured into them just dug me a deeper hole. That's why I p3 a character I like so I don't have to worry about that ever happening. Sometimes it gives me a reason to try new perks that aren't meta because there is no alternative. I never used Pharmacy until I preteged my David. It was the only perk I had to healing so I ran it. Now I really enjoy it. I still switch it out for IS these days but sometimes I'll put it on and farm green medkits. So some matches I don't have to bring a healing perk, I can just bring a medkit.

Interesting point. It does seem to take about 1.5 mil to hit 50.
This is something I considered as well. I don't want to dig deeper holes, but the consensus so far seems to point it to not being worth it at all. There are still perks I could unlock, on both sides, but they're bad ones. Sitting on 1 mil right now.

Did BHVR say something about increasing payouts or other benefits?

Not that i'm aware of, just that they're now looking at Prestige.
And that might take more months than you think.

BHVR mention on the anniversary stream iirc about adding more prestige rewards. No mention on what new prestige rewards we will get or when that'll happen.

Well, @Boss said someone did an experiment, so it seems the percentages are already very low for a 30% increase to result in all of 2% difference. I'm not sure how you would even notice that without very careful logging and math. I've been playing since I got the game in late June during the anniversary. My first week in the game I PR'd Bill 1 level and immediately regretted the loss of all my unlocked perks. I will say he's back at 50 and I didn't notice anything at all other than my shirt being dirtier.

Lmao no. Just the cosmetics.

I just found this https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/at25tj/does_prestige_matter_bloodweb_comparison_over_500/
which makes it look even worse.

Don't know what to say, this is pretty much expected.
Now that i think about it, they probably don't want to increase the amount of times that you can waltz into a trial with top-rarity gear.
But why even add the bonus then?

Not unless you main a survivor and got all the teachables you want from the other survivors.
