What happens to character progression etc. if you sell/gift DBD on steam?
Does the person you sell it to start where you left off, or from scratch?
Edit to be clearer:
I know all my achievements won't transfer to someone else, but will things like:
- Character progression, levels etc.
- Left over cakes
- Items from the web
Those kinds of things.

You can't sell the game to someone. You'd have to sell the entire steam account. Then yes, all progress would transfer if you did that

There is no selling used games on steam. Just gifts.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer.
So I'm guessing if I do it as a "Gift" option, the progression etc doesn't transfer?

There is a technical way to sell just the game. You do the financially transaction away from steam and then "gift" the game to the user. Both parties have to be trustworthy beyond a doubt though.

Well, you can only refund a game on steam if you played it for less than 2 hours. If you played more, you can't get the money back in any way. If you want to gift the game you have to just buy dbd again and then you will see the "buy as a gift option" - then your friend will get a brand new copy of the game

You can gift a brand new game on Steam but you cannot gift a game from your own library - due to Steam TOS and EULA that you have signed!
