Prestige 3, do you play bloody?
I love the aesthetic of my prestige 3 characters, all bloody and bad ass.
But I was wondering, do people choose not to use the P3 skins to trick the killer into thinking they're not as experienced?

Yes, at least I do

I play only as full P3 Quentin because i like him.
Besides Quentin, only bloody heads.
4 -
Depends completely on what killer im using and if they have cool cosmetics or not. Idc if they know im experienced or not.
Same with survivors
5 -
I like my P3 Jake all bloody except head, used the shaved / scarred.
1 -
Depends on the characters.
Wraith? No! I have some amazing cosmetics on him and I gotta make my Bing Bong Boi look simultaniously adorable and murderous, and the P3 skin doesn't do that one for me!
Freddy and Pyramid head? Yeah! Their bloody clothes look so cool (especially Pyramid Head's) and I don't really have a choice for other cosmetics on them (though the molten lava one does look kinda hot, pun intended).

I play P3 Myers a lot. Once in a while I'll do P3 on my Dweet.
2 -
I only p3 Cheryl cause it makes silent hill 3 lol but for killers it depends if i like the way some of them look and others i don't bother with. For example Deathslinger's p3 looks dumb imo while p3 myers head and knife look great but the body is too much.

I have a lot of my survivors P3, but I don't usually use their prestiged skins mostly because I don't like them. I do use them gor though, as it just looks ridiculous how much blood is on them.
1 -
I actual kind of do the reverse, I don't have prestige but I sometimes experiment by wearing super bright/neon cosmetics and bringing a flashlight. A lot of killers will see that and leave you alone if they see someone else too, or even if they only see you but you seem to be at a good loop they may overestimate your skills.
Flipside is they may give you chase and you get lots of practice.

Not to trick the killer, more to trick the survivors. Using the complete base skin for any killer gives survivors a false signal that you are just starting out playing as said killer, and often times they let their guard down so you can surprise them.
That being said However, there are a few killers that I feel the P3 cosmetics are kinda necessary for: Demogorgon, The Executioner (PH), and Nurse. What do all 3 of these killers have in common? Their base cosmetics are bright white and easy to spot from across the map. Granted, all killers have a "lighthouse" effect with their red stain that makes spotting them fairly easy for survivors, but having a darker outfit still helps, especially if they're using stealth perks like Dark Devotion. Having bright white cosmetics pretty much defeats the purpose of stealth builds.
Nurse is different from PH and Demogorgon because unlike them, she has a catalog of cosmetics that are darker than her base, but her P3 outfit is literally soaked, head to toe in blood, and really blends in well with some maps. Demogorgon on the other hand needs all the help he can get; survivors already hear him globally every time he so much as farts, but wandering around as the "great white doofus" doesn't do him any favors either, so if smearing him in blood is the only way to give him even a slight advantage, I'm all for it. Lastly of course is PH... He's already got the biggest head in the game and a weapon that is cartoonishly over-sized, does this behemoth of a killer really need a bright white apron that screams "here I am in-case you didn't notice!"? For both of these Licensed killers, their only alternative outfits in the store don't do anything to make them any less obvious, and so the P3 outfits will have to suffice.

I primarily use full P3 sets for licensed characters, but if it looks good with other cosmetics, I'll slap em on others.
1 -
Unless I have another cosmetic piece then yes I always run bloody cosmetics as both killer and survivor. The whole mindgaming the killer ahead of the game doesnt work that much. Personally as a killer I dont care how you are "dressed" I look for items and these mmr days I look at hours in the game.
Still dont know if I should just tryhard to utterly crush newbies to maybe help them get to proper matches instead of red ranks or let them play a bit and give them second chances to give them some blood points.
2 -
I use prestige cosmetics if I don't have anything I like better for that slot. So my Wraith has the Hallowed Blight weapon but the other pieces are prestige because I really like the visuals of that combo. Legion once I get bored of the crown I'll go back to prestige mask, but the body and weapon are something I prefer to the prestige weapon so they won't make an appearance most of the time.
Both of my survivors are licensed so they get bloody all the time! (though I do swap to Bill's sweater if there's another bloody Bill in the lobby so the killer can tell us apart (as I've been facecamped for the other one's transgressions before))

Nah.

I prestiged my Trapper, Pig and Feng years ago. I then realized what a phenomenal waste of time it all was. I get zero benefit from it and the "rare node" increase in the blood web is not noticeable at all. My Doc gets just as many rare items as Trapper. Kate gets the same rare item choices as Feng and I never prestiged either of them.
So, I don't run bloody because I consider it sign of foolishness. "Look, I wasted lots of BP for absolutely no freaking reason! Yay me!" lol That, and I found when you run a bloody survivor, you get tunneled more. Nah, I'll skip. I avoid running Claudette and bloody Feng because too many simple-minded killers get triggered at the site. Just like running a map or key. I made the mistake of running a map last night in one of my three survivor matches. I was tunneled the entire time. Eventually died in end game while the others got out. Killer ranted and raved about killing the azzhole with the map. Yep...I just wanted the extra BP for finding crap. So I had a green map with zero addons. Wow........
1 -
Did he have NOED, wonder if he just didn't want you breaking them all? Or a Trapper but I guess that is understandable it is such a hard counter it is kind of worth tunneling.
In regards to Prestige, I agree with you the only killer or survivor I have prestige at all is PH and that's because A. I think the bloody outfit looks absolutely sick, and B. I had a million saved, all the rift saved, dailies saved, and shrines to buy so I got him to P3 in like a couple days with no real harm to my other progress.

I use the prestige claws on Demo with the chained beast set
1 -
Sometimes I’ll go full bloody with Quentin but usually I just use P3 head
1 -
I have no PR3 anything, I don't even have all perks unlocked, deliberately, because many are ######### and the BP grind is already F2P levels of stupid and bad perks just makes RNG worse for the ones you actually want. I have over 400 hours in game.
1 -
I rarely use P3 cosmetics, I use normal cosmetics most of the time.
The only survivor that I use a P3 cosmetic is Steve's face and scoops ahoy because it looks canon to Stranger Things.
1 -
No, he just thought maps were toxic. lol

None of the prestige outfits are worth the effort for me personally.
1 -
I play P3 Myers, Pig, and GF because I don't have any other cosmetics for them (except Myers, but not for his face which is the best prestige cosmetic he has anyway).
On Ace, I change outfits a lot and I only use the bloody hat to match my dark red suit.
1 -
I play Bill
It's either P3 or a Christmas Sweater
0 -
I tend to mix-match and incorporate prestiged cosmetics. Oddly, on Hillbilly (one of my favorite killers), I prefer his other paid cosmetics.
2 -
Depends on my mood! I do tend to mix and match my every cosmetic.
0 -
Yeah me and my regular team have a bunch of P3s and 9/10 times when we all wear the bloody outfits the killer brings a mory + noed so most of us wear other outfits.
1 -
I tend to go P3 for my killers, because its a little bit of visual stealth to them. The blood has a kind of disruptive colouriation camouflage effect to it. Also the blood weapon and hands look amazing in first-person camera.
1 -
On killers yes. Survivors i mix and match it in if i like it.
1 -
I use the bloody face and that's it on survivor, on killers if it looks good then i use it
1 -
This is what I've been finding, hard to say for sure though.
1 -
Yes, some people do that. Not me personally. If the default look of a character is boring to me then just adding blood on it won't make it that much better. Either way though, I'll still pick out a piece or two of the bloody stuff to put on if it ends up making my character look good.
1 -
I only wear it if i don't have anything Ele é for them, i think it's kinda ungly.
1 -
Never cared about P3, but since I had all my killers maxed after PH came out, I took him to P3. Then I figured why not and P3’d a lot of survivors. I have like 12 of them at P3, 2 of them maxed out. Working on Tapp now
2 -
I don't like most of the bloody clothes, so that is why I rarely use them and also, there are a lot of other costume options for the characters.
1 -
I used to pretend I was a baby as Leatherface before his rework; made Every survivor Ever fake-out the pallets; it was the dream
Now I don't need to mindgame at all!
1 -
Only bloody faces is a good look
0 -
P3 Ghostface and Pyramid Head
I main Ghostface and he's always bloody.
1 -
My Survivors mostly have better skins so I barely use prestige on them.
My Killers on the other hand... it really depends. Many also have better cosmetics, so I mostly use them on licensed killers, like freddy (gloves) or Pyramid Head (torso and weapon). The only exception is Leatherface before the rework, since I used the normal outfit, which made way too many survivors extremly cocky against him, resulting in many downs. Obv right now with both the rework and matchmaking (for me) not working, I may use the bloody outfit on him.
1 -
Ghostface has one of the best P3’s in the game
1 -
Agreed 200%. It just fits his overall persona
