Tweaks to the Obsession mechanic?
Currently, there are 8 Obsession perks:
- Survivor: Object of Obsession, Sole Survivor, and Decisive Strike.
- Killer: Dying Light, Play With Your Food, Save The Best For Last, Remember Me, and Rancor.
I know these perks take up such a small percentage of perks, but what if there was a passive benefit for survivors/killers when the other has an obsession perk, but you don't?
For survivor - if the Killer has one or more obsession perks, and you become the obsession without having an obsession perk, what small benefit should you have for being one? Some ideas:
- small speed increase when being chased
- bonus unhooking speed
- small speed increase when healing or repairing
- limited aura-reading protection
For killer - if a Survivor has one or more obsession perks, and you don't have one, what small benefit should you have for having an obsession? Some ideas:
- bloodlust triggers sooner if chasing the obsession
- reduced attack cool down when obsession is in TR
- obsession's scratch marks last a bit longer
- obsession's aura is read a bit longer
What I mean by small, is it's not enough to make a huge difference, but enough to have a noticeable benefit.

Is the killer able to actually tell who the obsession is in game PRIOR to hitting them and seeing their badge change shape?
