Why not show MMR or hide ranks?
I know this has been asked loads before, but seriously. If the devs dont want to display mmr (for whatever reason) why dont they hide ranks? Even if the mmr system is working as intended, and we're getting matched with other people around our mmr, people will still see the rank disparities and think the matchmaking is trash.
Why not hide rank completely or just show MMR to solve this? its just strange having 2 rank systems in the game, and to make it even weirder, the actual rank system is hidden whilst the false/old rank system is shown.

Because there is no MMR system. Just RNG matchmaking

There is no mmr in this game the dev want an excuse for the bad matchmaking.

I agree, if there is a new MMR system I'd much rather be able to see my own MMR and other people's MMR to see if I am being matched fairly and it is working as intended and also to know how I'm doing as survivor or killer. My only guess is that devs didn't have high expectations of this working as intended and decided to hide it to try and avoid outrage or whatever.

"Even if the mmr system is working as intended.." and the rest , The MMR system IS working nothing as intended. Atleast rank matchmaking was better than how it is now.
for people that say "Ranks don't mean anything" I mean alteast before the number 1 complain was not mmr and you didn't get matched with rank 20s all day. And some ranks ( 13+ ) can definetely determine the skill of the player.
Probably not the point of your post but the new update has ruined my experience...

Yeah they should hide ranks. Doesn’t make sense to still have ranks when they’ve moved to an MMR system.
