Skilled Huntress trophy (help needed)

Hello all,

I want to know how one can get this trophy:

Skilled Huntress

In public matches, down survivors 100 times with The Huntress' Hatchets further than 24 meters.

I don't know what to do anymore to get this one. I tried to play normally and hope for the best...

I tried playing nice in the hope survivors would give me a "free hit" in the exit gate, but all I get is people who immediately leave or just dodge every hatchet I throw.

At this point, I don't even know what to do anymore to get this one.

Any tips from you guys/girls? :)

When I make attempts towards this trophy I use Devour Hope tier 3 because it lights up as soon as you're 24 meters away the hook. Camp the hook with your hatchet and let it go as soon as you see unhook notification... I personally have better luck hitting the unhooker most times so IR head may not be a bad idea.. Maybe you can try to initiate farming games too but it hardly ever works out for me

Yeah, I know it's a pretty scummy tactic but this trophy is ridiculous at 100 downs when it's 20 on Xbox and Steam.

Maybe I should hook camp as well then. Don't like to do it, but maybe it works.

Also gonna try and get some farm games happen, maybe I can get 1 or 2. Thanks for the Devour Hope tip!

It's too bad they didnt get a notification like the Deathslinger gets when he shoots someone from far away. Now it's just a gamble all the time.

    More tips are always welcome!

I get that its difficult and I send my condolences

I got lucky and "bullied" an afk person for 15 minutes before EGC forced the game to end

I got this achievement just by playing the game normally. I know you already tried that, but if you really want to get this my advice would be to bring double belt addons and use the 3 extra hatchets for long shots, that way if you miss you can keep playing normally without being at a disadvantage. Also don’t be afraid of going for crossmap throws after BBQ. If you know for sure they’re on a gen try landing a cheeky shot from a distance. Since the hit boxes were reduced when survs are fixing you now have to aim slightly to the side of a gen and hope someone’s there but it works Moreno often than you’d think. Good luck

Play any FPS. Locate crosshair. Put a tiny piece of tape on your tv over crosshair (maybe white or light colored so you can see it against the dark maps). Launch DBD. Profit.

I play on PC but that’s the easiest way I can think of.

Perks like A Nurse's Calling, BBQ & Chili, and Bitter Murmur are smart when you're going for this too. Nurse's works up to 28 meters, so the second you see someone light up at the edge of your range that means you know exactly where an injured person is. BBQ & Bitter Murmur are just nice for making longshots easier. If you see someone either standing still or running in a straight line you can probably line up a throw without them trying to dodge.

Other than that, you may be able to get some in matches you lose. For example, let's say you run up to an exit gate and see a few survivors in there waiting to be chased out. Just back away until you're safely over 24m and charge up your hatchet. A lot of times they'll either let you hit them or just hang around and try to dodge your hatchets. They'll feel safe knowing they can crawl out if they ever get downed, so you might be able to get a few downs that way.

I got it by farming and using iri. The survivors knew i wasnt going to kill them so they didnt dc right away.

Thats cheating tho so be better than me 😂

the easiest way to do it is to camp from further distance. how? put someone on a mountain, crossnipe from distance, easy. is disgusting? yes it is but whatever.

Use Iridescent Heads + Infantry Belt, only go for ranged shots. If you have Hex: Retribution that could give you a 10sec aura on everyone; Rancor / Bitter Murmur.. anything that gives aura reads (BBQ is 40m+, a bit far)

Hook someone on hills if possible, usually an easy down on rescues

    use a crosshair

use iri head camp hooks its a ######### way to do it and i would not recommend it but if you want it done quick that works.

i would just play a lot you'll have fun doing it i wanted that trophy so bad it made me a huntress main

that was 3 years ago and im still happy i did it

I forgot to mention this earlier but probably the easiest way to get this is proxy camping hooks. The moment you see the unhook notification let go of m2. Guaranteed hit.

It took me over a year to get this. But then I don't play Huntress because I am terrible with her. Best advice is run tracking perks like bbq and nurses and hope for the best.

Either that or farm it if you want a shortcut to it.

BBQ And Chili. Lob those hatches like you don't want them anymore.

    Ikr, it's ridiculous...

Just a small question, how do I know what 24+ meters is? I now just think I got it right, since you don't get a scoring event for a long shot.

Btw, i think I'm on 36 downs by now. I write all the downs on paper when I think it is 24+ meters.

i logged 153 downs more than 24 meters away and I still do not have the trophy..I'm disgusted. i've been working on it on and off for 8 months and it is still the only trophy i do not have.

people dont expect very very long range hatchets so survivours are very easy to preidct. biggest problem is that there is often things in the way. use bbq and throw at survivour if you see them.

Thanks for the advice, but I have the trophy now :) I messaged some survivors and a few swf groups were very friendly to help me with it and gave me a few long range hits here and there. Some even up to 20 in one round :)

If people didn't want to help me it was also fine with me, then I just played normal.

Yeah, the trophy logging is busted. That was in the past also for some trophies like "medic".

Also the spear and down people trophy is busted with logging, I needed around 40 for it to pop instead of the 30 reqiured. I don't know why it's so broken.
