Stop using VPN!
Is this the new survivor excuse? I've stomped a couple teams and its always the tbagging flashlight clickers who die and go "Nice VPN reported!" at the game. Is this the new survivor excuse?

It's not an excuse when many, many, MANY killers are known to use VPN.
I've looked up Steam profiles after the match and they're from China, Finland, Germany, Brazil, Russia.
Their comments are the same language as their origin as well so I know it's not an American posing as someone from that country.
It's bullshit and server validation hits should be here already.

It's the new meta excuse ever since lagswitching isn't plausible anymore.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Survivors themselves used VPN and then try to blame it on the Killer.

Lol they always DC right when they get downed but when everyone else stays its a "GG everyone :)" and we have a good time but when the P3 Claudette dies she stays and types the typical "LOL VPNING!" and I hit her with the GG EZ but I like your response haha

Since some people started using VPNs to throttle their connections, now they all think everybody who has lag is using a VPN.
Dear survivors, not everybody has a perfect and stable internet connection. Sometimes you can experience high ping peaks, makes you laggy, and you can get undeserved hits. But this doesn't mean that you are using a VPN.
Having a bad connection and using a VPN creates the same scenario, thus you can be confused abouter whether the killer is using VPN or not, but the reality is that you can't really know that unless you are actively tracking the killer's public IP.

It's not an excuse. I'm not saying you used VPN, but there are enough cases of that.

I thought ppl tended to change download region in Steam in order to try to get matches when their queues are super long. Or you know... It's an online game and you can get matches with people all over the world? Cough cough killer draught... Queue times are real bad right now.

That used to work with p2p, dedicated servers now use a different system

Did they say dedicated servers use a different system? If the devs weren't smart enough to check with p2p then why would they bother with what server you try to connect to.
Either way why would killers be using VPNs to purposefully lag uncontrollably when they could just lag switch.

No word from them is needed since people already tried that when DediServers were enabled
And is not that simple to lagswitch, for that you need a hack which is not easy to find, or either put downloads while you play if your internet is not really good, in case people have very good internet, they use VPN to abuse the high latency between that distance.
