Alot of the newer killer perks feel very lack luster
I'd say since ghost face, alot of perks feel like they have been very underwhelming. Alot of them feel very situational, too restricted to actually be majorly useful or only slightly useful with other perks.
Ghost face- I'm all ears and thrilling tremors are ok, despite the cool downs but furtive chase? It main usefulness was you could change obsession but not this is over shadowed by nemesis. The reduced terror radius would be nice... if it wasnt only in chase...
Demogorgon- Surge could be really good if it wasnt basic attack only and had a cool down, get rid of this and I think this perk could be decent. As for cruel limits and mindbreaker...these definitely need some work.
Oni- Nemesis is good with other obsession perks like PWYF but by itself it doesn't really do much. Possibly catch the obsession off guard while they're still oblivious but other than that not much.
Blood echo, very situational. It's ok with plague and legion but most other killers I've used it on I can really only get it to effect one survivor for the most part.
Zanshin tactics, this feels like it's more for newer players who may not know where some loops and windows spawn but otherwise, not one I would use personally.
Deathslinger- Dead man switch is probably his best one and even then it's not that great. It has brought me some time before but I only really got to use it frequently when using it in sync with nemesis or furtive chase( it's not one you wanna use with pop goes the weasel). Hex retribution is another one that I wouldn't use by itself, losing a perk just to see survivors for ten seconds feels like a waste for the most part, and to be honest I would rather take haunted grounds to deter survivors from going for my totems. Gear head is another on that is very restrictive and situational and the fact that it was nerfed is even more bizarre.
Pyramid head- Death bound is probably the first killer perk in a long time that can be useful entirely on it's own and works better with others. The oblivious is a nice touch but the scream effect is very good if I haven't found another survivor yet, add nurses calling and it's hard for survivors to hide from you unless you are far away and bust with another survivor. Forced penance is....ok I guess, though is another perk that's very situational. Trial of torment is more of a hindrance than a help. Not only does it have a cool down but its effect get negated by the fact it shows the aura of a damaged generator, so not only do they know where you are roughly, they now all know that a generator is there and has been damaged. And to top it off, you only get undetectable for 16 seconds. Very little you can do in a short amount of time.
With the next chapter getting teased, I'm hoping the next set of perks are going to be a bit more exciting than the these ones. What do you guys think of them?
( just a side note, I know that alot of survivor perks are pretty underwhelming too, might talk about them in a separate forum)
