Is Ghostface THAT good?

Been playing this game only a few days. Still rank 16 survivor (I know). The only killer that seems to consistently wipe everyone out is Ghostface. Pig might be a close second. Are they that good? or are they just good at this rank?

Also, what are considered counters to them?

Ghostface is pretty good. The ability to hide your terror radius and red stain at will is very strong. The only problem is the cooldown on his power is obscenely long without add-ons.

As for counters, Spine Chill is the big one. But you can counter it by looking to the side when approaching gens.

He is pretty good. Its been quite a lot of time since I have last played him, but on the right hands he is just an unstoppable killing machine. Learn how to use his stealth and how to expose and you are in for one hell of a ride.

he is solid, not good enough for 4 man but he is kind of solid with a good build

No, he gets free easy first hits at all ranks but with inexperienced players they panic, don't move to another loop and get downed or they just don't use pallets/loops at all and just hold W till they get downed.

He has his stalk but alot of the times it's just wasted.

For the most part he's just an m1 killer with no anti loop other than removing his red stain.

    Spinechill

    Expose him

    and just basic looping

Ghostface is going to stomp low ranks because the main counter to him is good awareness which low rank survivors simply don't have.

In higher ranks he's still good, but he's very heavily add on reliant, and doesn't have many good ones. It's mostly just power recharge speed.

His stalking isn't anywhere near as good as Myers, but his stealth is much better, so most people will either ignore it entirely, or 99 survivors and then activate stealth and finish the stalk when they're close enough to hit. If you actually just mark someone chances are you'll just eat pallets for 45 seconds.

Hes pretty good, not insanely strong but he can certainly do work. Pig is one of the worst killers in the game lmao. For Ghost Face and Pig the best thing you can do is be aware. Check your corners all the time, always try to know where they are. If your having trouble try running Spine Chill. With Pig remember that time is of the essence, get that trap off you as soon as possible. If there is no trap in play your basically just fighting worse Ghost Face.

He’s the best stealth killed, but he’s around mid B tier. There are MANY killers who outclass him. Just none can do it when it comes to stealth and hit and run play style.

He is, but that's not saying much, the bar is extremely low.

I wouldn't say anyone outclasses him.

You say someone outclasses someone else when they are a straight upgrade. For example pre-nerf billy outclassed pre-buff bubba.

Another example would be that a lot of people would argue that Huntress outclasses the Deathslinger because she does the same thing Deathslinger does but better.

So for a Killer to outclass Ghostface that would mean they do what Ghostface does but better. And no one does the stealth hit and run playstyle better than Ghostface.

Ghostface stomps low ranks because he combines insta-downs and stealth, two things beginners have a lot of trouble with

Otherwise Ghosty is definitely a high tier killer; not at the level of Nurse/Spirit but he is undoubtedly the best stealth killer

Ghost Face is solid. One of the streamers I like, Jaee, literally never loses with him. (He's got some really long win streak going with Ghost Face.) He's definitely the better Stalking killer over Meyers. (Spirit is actually the best stealth killer, not only is she literally invisible while phased but her speed is tremendous.)

Ghost Face's main weakness is simply that he can't get around the map faster than normal movement. So he's a bit vulnerable to groups that split up and do solo gens all over the place since that makes him spend that much more time going from survivor to survivor after a down. Also if he's caught out of stealth and his target isn't exposed he's just a basic attack, basic movement killer (aside from the minor benefit of being able to crouch to trick survivors at some loops.) And Spine Chill hurts him a bit which is bad since it's a pretty common survivor perk.

Ghostface gets most of his downs because his reveal mechanic is busted. If it was working as intended his kill rate would be significantly lower.

Actually ghostface in the right hands is a pretty scary thing, yes he is really good.

Pigs underrated but shes not top tier.

And i have no bias here as i prefer playing as pig.

you do not chased alot as ghostface that is the biggest mistake players make when learning him you want to juggle survivors as ghostface and get as many free hits as possible. Run ruin or pop preferable ruin sloppy bbq or thrilling or whatever you want nurses then run both his green and yellow cooldown addons. Ghostface is good in most maps and if you want to get real good at him you will want cosmetics to make him much more darker and harder to see. This is how my ghostface game go get a free hit give up chase pressure gens get more free hits see someone with nurse and get a couple downs then chase a little when i can end chases fast and dont commit to chase. if survivor want to heal they will waste time with sloppy which mean you can see them with nurses and get free down and have snowball potential. There are some maps you are destined to lose like bloodlodge just getting a 2k on that map is a win as ghostface. The biggest thing is people chasing with ghostface and not always using there power and being unpredictable. There is also a little trick that if you activate your power stand still behind something that brakes line of site and the survivor will run into sometimes its a chance strat. Also another thing do not stalk almost never you will waste most of your doing it

I love Ghost Face, I do a hit and run play style or a hit or hide play style. His power is what makes him good, it can track, hide your heartbeat and hide your red glow, this is extremely useful when looping, you can seriously mind game the crap out of Survivors.

Perks: Thana, Sloppy, Discordance and Tinker. Thana and Sloppy will make healing dreadful and if they decide to do a gen while injured, that’s where Discordance and Tinker comes to play. These perks give me info, Discordance will tell me whose on a gen together, Tinker will tell me who is soloing a gen, because my power makes me undetectable, I can sneak up to them and get a cheeky hit.

He's strong against casual players but he's still very vulnerable to looping and therefore is not that great at high ranks. He's about B-tier.

Just be very vigilant if you don't hear a terror radius or run spinechill.

If you use him like wraith minus the 2 second advantage of possibly escaping proceeding the BINGBINGBINGBONG sound

than your peachy. Just stalk the people who get away and save em for later.

he is very good however, having his power taken away for 30 sec can be really rough if the survivors always expose you

That’s why I said he’s the best stealth killer. I meant in the general mechanics of the game there are far better killers.

I swear, you sound just like me here.

But yeah, if someone says that GF is a better Pig, ignore them. They're different killers with different functions.

Tip, play Hag, with the right perks she is perfect.

Ghostface is easy to spot with Chill spine, it's hard to play with it if you don't have maps like Gideo, or the hospital. It has no map control, the same for Pig which is also slow and requires a minimum of patience and reflection (not to be overwhelmed by events). Moonwalk, moonwalk and moonwalk = miss a survivor !

If you are not strong anti-loop you will surely regret your 5€ ! (good perks for Pig and Ghostface)

Yeah, Ghostie’s pretty good; sneaking around matches all stealthily

Watch clips of Tru3Ta1ent playing him if you wanna see some of the highest potential GF has.

His stealth is more powerful than his insta down imo... Been playing for around 1900k hours or so an he still startles me when he creeps up like a shadow 😟

Pretty much this - the only real way to play him is to keep people at 99% and manage your expose on others - making sure not to wipe your 99 by failing to pay attention and hitting whatever random survivor comes running by. All his addons technically suck except for the 3 power cooldown one (Chewed Pen Green -8s, Yellow Address Book -6s and the Brown Matchbook -4s) especially since they stack and basically having his 30s power become a 16s cooldown is hard to beat. The only other setup that sort of works is Chewed Pen + Outdoor Security Camera Pink along with Infectious Fright for perfect information as you will primarily be using 99% then one shotting to create downs and pressure and only regular swinging at safe targets otherwise (Literally just build bloodlust if someone you almost fully stalked runs at you while your power is on cooldown).

I would say Nurse's Calling is pretty huge on him as people have trouble knowing when to heal against stealth killers, my biggest advice if you're a new wraith or ghost face is to moonwalk or strafe a lot when approaching generators to completely negate spine chill. I recommend not running Sloppy Butcher as it encourages healing and allows you to run other perks like Brutal Strength or Whispers which might not even fit in your build otherwise if you are running CI, BBQ and Chili, Nurse's calling

Yea he's really good through all ranks.

I usually play him in a way where I actually don't stalk people but I get the drop on them being sneaky and making them crap their pants

My Ghostface build is Sloppy Butcher, Thrilling Tremors, PGTW & Nurse's Calling. It's a pretty good build on him especially when using double power recovery add-ons but the only thing that might hurt him is certain maps.
