What Happened to the Server Side Hit Validation?

I haven't seen it mentioned since the last PTB when they said it was gonna be tested in this update but the next PTB is about to arrive. Me and some of my friends are still experiencing the 2 meter hits while having relatively low ping. Any news about it that I missed maybe?
