What if I told you that you could play Blight this way?
And that its this:
You only use his power for distance and when your close enough, you go for a m1, BUT if you make a mistake for example bumping into an obstacle, if you have line of sight, you can go for that special attack.
Im not saying this is the most MANDATORY playstyle for him, but its something im still testing out.
EDIT: Make sure you never use your power in chase, otherwise this playstyle might not work.

I guess many people just don’t like M1 which is the main problem here. And even then, billy has the better movement power and he can use that for instadowns as well..

But I can see that the way they may have designed this killer is that you specifically go for m1s, and that might be it, while you use your power for distance because he has such nasty mobility.

He does have good mobility, but he doesn't have a lot of control over it. He go fast, in a straight line, but that's about it.

true, true

devs are clearly trying to delete any kind of skill and power bending with killers. Examples are how they nerfed billy and nurse so that they can't use their powers both for map control and chase. This killer has to use his power only for mobility and chases are only boring M1 action, which is the saddest part.

Making a killer less powerful and/or more difficult means you need less skill to play them? Seems like the opposite to me.

by skill I meant the skill cap. If you make a killer less performant and adaptable to various situations, it will always come down to M1 action, where the skill cap is low to non-existent, after you learn red glow mindgame, zoning and similar, there's not much left. In the end you'll not become a good Blight, you'll became a good M1 killer. This is why the worst killers have low skill cap and are merely M1 killers with few changes.
