Which should I buy?
So, im only at about 4k shards rn, but I wanna buy either Kate, Feng, Jane or Adam next, but I don't know which. Any suggestions, pros/cons, or thoughts on which is best?

Feng has Lithe and Jane has Head on... One of them

If you're still getting familiar with the maps Kate has Windows of Opportunity, plus she's purdy.
Feng has the most cosmetics iirc, plus Lithe and Technician can help early gamers.
Adam and Jane have more advanced player perks, plus they're easy to see unless Adam's wearing a brown trenchcoat.

Feng is probably the best choice if you care about perk access. She has Lithe and Alert, which can both be fun and useful. Technician is also an okay perk. She does have a lot of cosmetics, though it's mostly because she is one of the earlier survivors added to the game (Meg has the most cosmetics in DbD).
---A con unique to Feng Min: she has a very high-pitched injury whine. She is very easy to track when she is injured.
Kate has Windows of Opportunity and Dance With Me (which is at its best when combined with Lithe). Boil Over is underwhelming, but also a perk needed for some of Tome III's challenges if you care about those.
Adam has Deliverance. Autodidact and Diversion are also fun, even if both are actually pretty terrible.
---A con unique to Adam: He has the fewest cosmetics of any original survivor in DbD. The newest original (pre-Richter) survivor, Zarina, already has a larger wardrobe than Adam.
Jane has Head On, which is probably the only perk worth unlocking her for. Poised and Solidarity are too situational and not usually very helpful perks.

best perks? probably Feng because of lithe and still is one of the worst exhaustion perks in the game, i would get Kate because she is hot and not as loud as feng when injured, jane is fine Head On is very nice if u combine it with quick and quiet from meg for dirty plays and fun plays aswell.

Is Feng honestly that loud when injured? I feel like out of all those choices Jane is the loudest, I always hear her moaning on the map when she's injured.

Jane is just loud in general, even doing simple things like walking and running she breathes like she's recording an ASMR video.

Depends if you want to buy a character because of their perks or because of their looks/story etc...
I own all of them except of Adam. Actually I don't even use any of their perks (yeah, sometimes I use head on and sometimes lithe when doing some challenges).
So character/skin vise I like Kate the most, she has some nice customization options and the shard ones are pretty cool too. Sometimes I switch to Jane cause not everyone plays as her (but customization wise, she has quite a few outifts and most of them require real money).
PS: Both Kate and Jane already were in previous tomes, so maybe Feng is next -> would be better to get her in order to have her ready for some challenges and get some customization items from her tome as well.
