I think DC penalties need to be programmed differently.
I'm not saying they should be removed, I'm saying they need to be changed. What I mean is, there are issues in the game that just make you want to move on to the next one because of how unfun the current one is. Basically, the way I would change it is, the longer you stay in a match without disconnecting or hook suiciding, the less time your DC penalty is. How I'd change it would be this:
<2 minutes into a match= 7:00 minute penalty
<4 minutes into a match= 5:00 penalty
<6 minutes into a match= 4:30 penalty
<8 minutes into a match= 3:30 penalty
Greater than (I couldn't put the symbol without it turning into a column) 10 minutes into a match=2:00 penalty
- And the way it could work for hook suicides is that unless you are the last survivor or you are forced to die on hook, (meaning when everyone hits the struggle phase) hitting the 3rd stage on a hook in less than 25 seconds after being hooked, triggers the penalty.
This way I feel like it would punish those who don't care about the others in the game even more rather than those who do care, but feel as if the game is being ruined for them, don't get punished as much. I could be wrong, it's just my opinion. Just to summarize, I don't think the DC penalties should be removed, I just think they should be changed because there are issues in the game that ruin it for others. Share your opinion below.

Wait, nerf DC Penalties?

Just remove them and look into WHY people DC.

People dc because they dont like the killer, or the map, or the killers playstyle, or because they are losing.
How would you propose to fix this?

I'm not saying how I would fix it is perfect but I do however think it would be better than what we have now

A lot of survivors DC if they are the first person downed.
Remove the killer's ability to attack?

But right there, usually first person to get downed is <2 minutes into the game, therefore they are punished even more if they DC/hook suicide.

Some DC because they are poor sports. No matter how well you balance the game, you will never be able to dissuade them from doing so.

But that's my point. Most of the time poor sports quit early. So that's why I made this post.
