The Plague needs a REWORK

Hi people of the fog and DEVs, the title says everything. I don t see players playing with the Plague a long time ago i mean, even nurse is more playable than Plague himself. Her power is fun to use but ONLY with strong addons and yet even with those strong addons, strong survivor or solid survivor can waste her alot time. The Plague is a fun killer but her power could be better. In strong loops her power is useless and sometimes even if you want to vomit to a survivor, you may fail because its easy to counter it. Has a main killer i feel that Plague pain, even when i play survivor most of the killers who use Plague, they dc fast and i understand it why.

Do you guys agree with a Plague rework in the future ? Yes or No

I agree. I think she is one of the worst killers in the game. The nail in the coffin for her was dedicated servers. You can't vomit on survivors that run it tight anymore. It shows on your screen but doesn't register on the server. This has made her nearly unplayable against good survivors.

My only letdown with Plague is the lack of Status Effects she gives when she infects Survivors with Entity knows what she has.

Like if someone is that sick that they're injured from it you'd expect maybe for them to be Exhausted? Maybe some Hemorrhaging? Being more Oblivious to thing around them? Some Deep Wounds from putting too much strain on their body? (You get the idea)

Wanted her to have the opportunity to essentially give Survivors a Iridescent King equivalent of Status Effects. (or just Add Ons that give a Status Effect to infected survivors)

I don't think that vomit is easy to avoid 'cause you can just shake your screen to sicken them if you're inaccurate, and her vomit doesn't seem to be meant to be used on jungle gyms but more on long walls, short pallets, or open areas.

I see a lot of people saying she's fine. How is she best played if she's fine?

Get multiple survivors broken obviously and if they cleanse, well, get the best power in the game. IF they don't, the new free fountain will give you 60 seconds of ######### you to 4 broken survivors

I don't play her, but kinda know

I think she's alright, but if they go through with the server-side hit detection they were talking about she could be outright killed. It's already hard enough to ge the game to register that the person coughing and spluttering as they're showered with vomit actually got hit by vomit.

Plague feels underwhelming to me and I feel that survivor's shouldn't have control over weather she gets her power or not! I'd say give her some buffs to make survivor's cleanse or something!

You and I both know that she could use some improvement. I suggest growing her hair out so she can twirl it around like a helicopter rotor and puke from the skies.

She also needs a non-plagued cosmetic that displays how she looked before rotting.

YASSSSS! But it needs to be fat and a Calico cat. As much as I love black cats, they're over used in media.

A pure white as snow cat with glowing purple eyes is also acceptable.

I think Plague’s popularity has less to do with her viability and more to do with her aesthetic. Projectile vomiting onto other people is generally not something that people enjoy, but plague is definitely stronger than a lot of the weaker killers. A couple of killers need a rework more than plague does.

I see her about as often as Nurse... which is to say very rarely. I had a daily with her a couple days ago and her vomit now arcs like a firehose making it suck to aim a lot worse than I remember. I re-rolled it. After I got her perks we were pretty much done. I love the idea behind her, but as others have stated, having to rely on survivors to get your real power is stupid. Good survivors will just ignore being sick and rush gens anyway and then she's just like any other bad M1 killer with terrible map control.

I tried her earlier today and she feels completely impossible to aim with right now. I wish there was an unranked practice mode for trying out new killers or something...

Id get behind that but i fear shes one of those killers that will either be buffed to being too strong or she stays underwhelming.

Nah, Plague is great. Much more versatile than Huntress and more effective than Deathslinger. Before reworking Plague, I would suggest taking a look at these ones: Trapper, Wraith, Huntress, Shape, Cannibal, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghostface, Oni, Deathslinger and the new one, Blight. All of them have issues that make them less viable than Plague.

I used to think she was the weakest killer because, like a "one-track minded ignoramus", I didn't like the idea that the survivors were "completely in control of her power". I kept thinking the only thing good about her was when she gets Corrupt Purge, which is the strongest ranged damage in the game IMO, but of course she was frequently denied that power if the survivors refused to cleanse, which felt stupid to me at the time.

However, after deciding to bite the bullet and play her for a while I came to realize how wrong I had been. While I was partially correct about Corrupt Purge and its limitations, I had been completely ignoring the power of her Vile Purge. People often refer to it as having a game long NOED effect, or perma-EW3 Myers, but I find it to be much better than those things. Not only does it put all the survivors in a 1 hit down state, It also makes them easier to see, and easier to hear while simultaneously defeating Iron Will + all Healing perks and items. This results in chases that take half as long as any other M1 killer would, and gives you great audio and visual tracking! On top of that, If the survivors do choose to cleanse instead of Toughing it out while broken and easier to track, I get the best ranged damage in the game and can make them suffer even more with it.

Overall, I ended up making a favorite build that puts survivors between a "Rock and a Hard Place" and have been dominating with her consistently even at the red ranks. She's become my go-to girl to main because she's actually very powerful if you know how to use her, and constantly underestimated by survivors because of how infrequently they encounter her. I regret that I totally misunderstood her (feel like such an idiot for not noticing these things about her sooner), and have become a ruthless and proud Plague main ever since. 😁🤮

    ****

For those wondering, here's my "Rock and Hard Place" build:

Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Surge + Surveillance/Pop Goes the Weasel/BBQ/Ruin.

Don't cleanse = suffer massive gen slowdown, Cleanse = Best ranged damage in the game. The trick to getting it to work well is to only hook the obsession twice, and keep them slugged as frequently as possible for the remainder of the game because They're the only survivor immune to the DL debuff, so keep them slugged and don't kill them until you've already killed at least 1 other survivor. At full Thanatophobia debuff + 4 stacks of DL, survivors suffer a whopping 28% slowdown in gen repair speed! On top of slowing repair progress to a crawl, This makes repairing the 8% damage caused by Surge to go up from 6 seconds to around 10.5 seconds, and it gets worse with each stack of DL you gain; I think the max slowdown I've achieved with all 4 still alive has been around 6 stacks, which made Surge damage take around 14 seconds for a survivor to repair. Typically survivors realize they are getting nowhere fast when there are 3-2 gens left and panic cleanse in order to try and defeat the slowdown, at which point you gain the best ranged damage in the game and mop the floor with them. A nice bonus is that because Vile Purge breaks the survivors, the obsession doesn't get to use the 33% healing benefit from DL, which actually makes it a worthwhile perk on the Plague.

Here's a sample or "Proof" of its viability, survivors in the chat didn't like the build (I took this screenshot a week ago):

Plague is great, you just can't afford to make any mistakes as her. Survivors don't heal each other (even worse, no self care ever) so gens just get smashed out. Luckily she's a good slugger though.
