How Long do Survivors Want to Last in Chase?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpuLaTLVI6I
Going to use Tru3's vid to simply show those who don't realise that optimal teams are capable of holding M1 to finish the gens to end the game in less than 5 minutes. This video proves that you can be a literal brick in chase but aye you can hold a single button on a Mouse (or Controller) then tap a skill check every now and then which lets face it is not difficult at all.
Now is this SwF? Is this a map problem? Is gen speed a clear issue? This is just it we don't know it is simply all speculative because the devs would rather give us data based on kills which means absolutely nothing if you don't even Pip. You have players to this day that think if you 4k, 3k or escape that by default = win. You are completely wrong, a win is when the game tells you that you have won.
"But X Streamer did 80 escapes in a row"
"But X streamer did 50 4k's in a row"
^ This is not data this is just some player who played the game incorrectly by cutting a vast majority of actual gameplay out thus people think they are literal gods. Are you seriously telling me that after 50 killer games in a row not a single person got a random key escape? All this tells me is X streamer ran a slug build and 1 hooked everyone thus especially if they are playing at high level means they won't Pip (Win).
Same with X Streamer gets 80 escapes in a row. Are you telling me not a single Killer ran a Mori and went straight for them? You probably find they ran in a SwF group with Gen Rush Builds and Keys where they would end each match in 4-5 mins.
Now here is my question for Survivors with how you say X has 0 Counterplay. Are you playing this game with the 1v1 mentality? If you are well you are playing this game completely wrong. Ask yourself if the killers power was adjusted to where you can 1v1 them with ease how would the Killer ever win because there is 4 of you and 1 of them?
"Spirit downs me in 20-30 seconds she has 0 counter" How long exactly are you wanting to be in chase with her for her to be considered fair for you? Also take into a account she has to put time into finding you, getting into chase, getting first hit, getting 2nd hit, picking you up, hooking you. This could all be a minimum of 30-35 seconds unless you are a literal brick in chase.
Lets say you want to last at least a minute in chase with her. Alright she takes 20 seconds to find you, add 60 seconds that's now a full gen complete. She has to do this 12 times (on paper) to properly win. Do you see how this would cause her to be extremely weak and probably never win?
"If you don't have Iron Will you automatically lose against Spirit" So you need 1 perk to counter the strongest Killer in the game? At high level as Killer you pretty much need to use most your loadout as Slowdown to even have a chance at slowing the game down. Compare 1 perk you need to 2-3 Killers potentially need.
Also in regards to "No Counterplay" Where is the counterplay in regards to people who literally sit on pallets and can see you where there is 0 mindgame to the loop, all they need to do is drop the pallet if you attempt to swing. Only real counter is Spirit Fury but thats not always going to be used. Where is the counterplay to God Pallets where regardless the Killer has to 100% break it they cannot go around it? All you need to do as Survivor is drop it and you are completely safe.
Just seems rather unfortunate this game has completely gone in the direction for casuals who have 0 intention of getting better and just want everything spoon fed to them. We sadly live in a generation now where everyone expects Participation Rewards thus Noob Friendly stuff is overshadowing skill which is why i still play Rhythm and Fighters because there is still a huge skill cap to them. DbD's skill cap is near enough none existent s it seems even bricks can look gods sometimes.

I actually am making a video on this. It basically ended up at ~35 seconds maximum chase assuming both sides are equally skilled, in order to have a balanced outcome of 2 kills and 2 escapes with at least enough additional hooks for a pip.

The problem with Spirit chases is zero feedback.
As for your initial question, I want a chase to be as long as it needs to be. 45 seconds to a minute feels alright as a survivor. Just not super quick, or me almost screaming at you to go find someone else.
Additional note is THANK YOU FOR SAYING WHAT I HAVE ABOUT PIPS! For so long, I have said how the Pip system is a clearer indication of a win than straight kills or escapes. I couldn't care if I died if my sacrifice allowed me to pip and everyone else escaped.

The problem that the survivors started separately and on very distant generators. The first hook put pressure on 2 survivors, but the other 2 made 2 gen (3 gen left). Kate joined one more and made the middle generator (2nd gen left). Camping in the basement only distracted 2 or 3 survivors Added prove thyselft brand new part, you got the rush gen.
