Sorry you have to deal with that. I think the devs are working on them though, so hopefully it will be better soon.

Yeah, to be honest between Error 108 that hit me several times, to error 8,000-and-something, they really need to stabilize their game before adding in DC penalties. Never mind having the hill glitch in the game for weeks on top of it.
But I'll be goddamned if that store isn't updated lickity-split.
They have the EA and Activision-Blizzard appearance going: You're just a wallet to them.

Yep. It's astonishing this is 4 years old, it legit feels like a beta all the way through.

I take it as a sign I need to take a break for a bit and move on.

have you validated your files? have you sent them the logs of what happened? have you submitted a ticket? I'd wager no you haven't. there is an appeal now on the tickets! lol did you know that you could appeal this? DC bans are because people completely abused an out of match menu function to allow people to shut games down that would go on forever because they didn't like how the killer walked at them and then past them for what ever reason. that's just one i've heard before. best one is how did he know I was there? when they had stopped running behind a rock and the killer walked in from a different direction and saw scratch marks, well that was a dc because he could never have seen me! nope! btw I was the killer that did that and it was hilarious, they waited watching their friends get decimated because I got ticked at that guy and I was called all sorts of names but hey I still got 29K blood points, and a 3K with a technical 4K due to the dc.
stabilize their game? I have never gotten the errors they just tested out a fix for last week, I have rarely had dbd crash and usually it's because my windows decided to shut the program down as it seemed to act abnormally. (YES I READ MY EVENT LOGS!) I've been playing since october 2018, and it's rare i got a crash of dbd, and rare that i get dc'd when it's my isp and not my computer having issues. you may have issues with the program but have you even TRIED to work the issue? TIRED learning how to understand the logs windows uses? Have you looked into your problems? most can't say they have properly worked the issue because most are not computer specialists (like me or like the devs! and yes the devs have to be able to understand the issues and read the logs to see where the problem is).

I haven't crashed in DbD in two years until last week. Error 108, constantly, if a match as Killer went on more than six minutes. Like clockwork.
I did manage to fix it myself. Their Tech Support was absolutely useless on the issue when I went to them. They tried to debate with me that my internet was too slow. Yeah, okay, I'm running over 300 down and close to 300 up. Oh, then your wifi. Okay, sure, except I'm wired in. It wasn't the internet.
Two days ago I crashed and got an error in the 8,000 range. I forget the precise number, because I just stopped caring at this point. It gets to be too much, I have Overwatch. Zero issues there.

well sounds like you have an axe to grind, and they even did some testing for people getting that 108 error and put a fix out. but you don't care to even inform them that you got another error so they can't work with it. oh btw: I've seen people crash in overwatch both on ps4 and pc. I've seen lots of people crash in many programs. but only the people with axes to grind come to a general forum and complain thinking it'll be fixed because they complained in the general forum! lol

To my knowledge they tested error 111 and 112, as the announcement stated. There was no announced fix for 108, and in even their Tech forum area the guy doesn't seem to have much of an idea about it.
Errors 111 and 112 were errors that did not save end game properly and didn't award BP. Error 108 is a disconnection error.

Fair Point. I never got any of those errors.... 108, 111, 112, and more... i've gotten a few but anyways I concede that i was mistaken in what i said.

It's all good. And no, I don't have an axe to grind. I simply get irritated when a game company can take their sweet time to fix glaring issues, but can update their cash-money store at the speed of light.
For example, this hill glitch. They stated they have a fix for it. But it's waiting for next patch, which is the DLC in a couple weeks. Meanwhile, it is a major issue for many players. There's no excuse for that. Put the hotfix out. And it's the sort of thing from BHVR over and over that irritates me with their game-as-service.
But I don't have an axe to grind or whatnot. My solution is simple when I've had enough: I break from DbD and BHVR for a while, don't spend money with them, and go elsewhere.

first of all sending out a patch is not as easy as you might think. it takes lots of things and it is possible that the dlc is integeral to the fix in how it is implemented. you see there are many things that we can not be privy to because that would let too many know what is happening and how to get around things. Also you have to contend with sony and microsoft as well as nintendo for their platform testing, and they may not have the allotted testing done before the dlc is to come out and then have THAT done as well.
there are things to think of for instance, sure they have a fix and are testing it. but for it to go to the other platforms as well as pc they have to have it done right for a week or two, and dlc is about 3 weeks away, so they have to then a week behind push to them a second update and in some cases they HAVE TO PAY for the updates! lots of things that could happen. so we aren't given to know the contracts and requirements but they tell us some things so we can feel kept in the loop.
Also they are working on things more than just the dlc, hot fixes and other things plus they have the creative team that is rolling out stuff on a different schedule. since this doesn't affect the clients there is no issues for it. the hit validation doesn't affect the clients as that is purely server side so they can roll it out. see? there are things you don't think of or know of that they aren't able to tell you. Your solution is great but based on very shoddy information and assumptions, but I won't stop you from taking that break but you might also want to leave the forums alone as well and posts like this are seen as whining and well not part of your "solution"

While I appreciate taking the time to advise me, I'll keep my own counsel and remain on the forums if I so choose. Not that I do for games I am not currently playing, but that also isn't your concern.
We're done now.
