Nothing switches on my sweat glands faster than seeing map offerings and keys before the match even begins.

You bring me streamers? You get the hatch. You click your flashlight at me? You get the hook.

I was expecting the usual "Toxic SWF Killer so underpowered" blabla BS but you made a good point!

I think you still can be nice by not camping or tunneling (unless you really have to). Thats even better then giving hatch.

For me, im not ever giving escapes to be nice. I never camp hooked survivors and avoid intentionally tunelling (unless i have a mori daily to get). That's nice enough, beyond that you gotta work for that escape. If the team is garbage and ima get 4k if I tryhard, then I play a little bit more sloppily, but just to give them hope.

Honestly, I play to give survivors jump scares, that's why I always run tinkerer. I find if they get good jump scares, they're not that upset about losing because at least it was fun

I used to be kind killer every games, but now I can't be nice with blendettes, they are soooo delicious, love to it them 😋😋

But I would never, NEVER eat Aces, so I'm nice with them because they don't feel succulent like other survivors.

Neas and Jeffs can be rubbery but with good sauce it can be OK.

This. As a survivor main I vote stop being so nice and letting the newer survivors live. You want to give the last person the hatch? Fine. But when you let all the newer survivors escape it puts them up at ranks they shouldn't be at. Causing them to die and be terrible teammates to higher ranking survivors in the process possibly costing them their rank

I will not have mercy unless a survivor earns my pity, if I was particularly unfair or bad... But they never do. Obviously you derank when you have mercy lol it's stupid. Mercy is only good if I know my rank and bloodpoints will more than cover for it, and when they deserve it. Mercy has to be earned.

I am more inclined to give mercy to 100% co-operative survivors, who help me track down their teammates... The most mercy I have is I usually give them a sort of ish fair shot at escaping, but I wouldn't exactly give hatches. Too many have slipped into a hatch without me seeing, and unlocked black locks, for me to turn back and wish for more of that.

Why should I behave nicely in a survivor-sided game? Tsss

    BloodyNights Member Posts: 526

I usually show mercy to the last person. No reason to be toxic for no reason. I pip anyways, so it doesn't matter if they live or not. However I won't show mercy if I hook someone, and I leave the hook and they don't save them what so ever even when I'm across the map. They deserve death at that point. :3

No mercy is reserved for the flash light clicking, tea bag at every pallet survivor. Not just randoms playing the game.

yeah, and I just feel that when I'm facing completely newbie survivors who don't even know what they are supposed to do in the realm.

If they know what they are doing, I just give hatch in certain scenarios. For example, if a survivor showed a lot of respect to me and wasn't cocky.

I'll play how I want and I don't care what anyone thinks. If you're affected by survivors pressing the crouch or flashlight button more than you like, that's your weakness, not mine.

I have never a been “nice” Killer. If you are in my game, you are going on that hook and visiting our amazing spider god in the sky. I have never given an escape and never will.

One game I watched the hook from a distance to give the survivors a chance. They escaped and called me trash for not facecamping. Sometimes they are just asking for it. xD

    Play however you want.

Sometimes I equip a slugging build and slug until eveybody bleed out. That's how I play and that's how I am. Nothing anybody can do about that. If you're not hacking, any strategy you choose is valid for me. Break how many rules of the Survivor Rulebook for Killers you want, if you got me killed you have my respect.

You don't have to be nice everytime. Don't force yourself to be nice. There is no rule saying you should give hatch to last person every game and let weak teams escape. Especially on red ranks, if weak team got to play against you, it means they don't belong to this ranks and you better kill them. But you still can give hatch or let someone go if you like certain survivor. Or you can let go last survivor if someone dc or suicide early ruining game to his teammates and you feel bad about it.

I'm a red rank and I don't care much about ranks so I give a hatch when I feel like. Not often, not everytime, but sometimes when I want to.

I used to be nice and always give hatch and make sure everyone had fun but the thing is what people don't understand. If you're a nice killer you get punished for it by the game so you have to play meta perks all the time. You experiment with off meta perks even just a little or have a bit of fun then in red ranks you get Brutal Killer at best and likely ENTITY DISPLEASED. Game doesn't reward you for playing nice and trying to have fun you have to always kill kill kill. Survivors have to respond to this and it's a never ending cycle on who can pull out the sweatiest build possible. Reward me for playing well and doing specific things on each killer don't have a one size fits all ranking system because honestly it's garbage that way. You're going to tell me at red ranks Gate Keeper should be the same for all killers as an example? This is what encourages camping and tunneling the most because killers want to perform well but the game tells them no.

The game is only fun when that magical 1 out of 100 game happens where both sides are running off meta perks and meme'ing it up and having fun but that almost never happens. I've been running a lot of meme builds lately and even though I get brutal killer most of the time and survivors are little shits about it I try to have fun. Main motivation to even do this is streaming and having a laugh with friends on stream. If that wasn't there I'd probably have stopped playing a bit ago. Can't have fun I just need to constantly play sweaty to be rewarded in game. Even if I 4k I mostly get brutal killer because gens get done too quickly That or I get low chaser points because my power either one hit downs or has a hit of its own. Such a stupid system that doesn't reward other skills it's just a binary DID YOU DO THIS YES OR NO.

Doesn't help that survivors are motivated to speedrun objectives because a lot of tome challenges are like WITHIN A SINGLE TRIAL YOU MUST DO THIS AND ESCAPE so that alone creates an unfun environment for both survivors and killers.

Excuse my rant but hey felt it appropriate.

What would make me happy in games

    • Killer specific pip rewards for doing X action in game like last year.
    • Reward for utilizing certain perks
    • Let me actually use off meta perks without feeling like I'm going to get burned

Like I'll just say it the way Last Year awards pips is a lot more appealing than this games rank system. Mind you that's like the only thing that game did right.

I've had this happen to me too. Why be toxic to the killer if he was trying to play nice? I usually just kill all survivors now. No more playing nice killer... Lol

For them it's enough if you just stay a second too long at the hook to call you a camper and rightful t-bag you at the gates. Some even wait there until you come to show their dominance.

Things like that are a bit stupid and childish imo... I mean, if a survivor is at the gates and does that, he moves out of the match usually. Aka. he knows he won't have a chance if he would act differently. On this way he shows without words the natural order that he is not the end of the food chain^^.

Is it even possible to depip just from giving the last guy hatch? I do it all the time and I don't think I've ever gotten less than Brutal Killer from it. Hell, sometimes I still double pip.
