Server side validation is horrible.
Big shock, I know, but the damned thing doesnt work. My hits are the same, no big issue there, but it's the grabs, holy crap did you make a bad situation worse.
Survivor on hook, teammate hook bombs, grab, denied... same as always, go to swing, weapon passes right through the unhooking survivor to the dude on the hook.
Devs, please, for the love of god and all that is holy, STOP TRYING TO ADD STUFF TO THE GAME!!! None of it is working properly, and its causing more problems than its fixing.

Server sided hit validation didn't fix grabs because it wasn't meant to fix grabs.

This is literally them trying to fix an issue that's been since the launch of dedicated servers. They're literally trying to fix their game.

I don't care about the grabs, its the hit after the grab. The stupid hit validation spazzed out, thinking I grabbed the survivor, and targeted the hooked survivor. Basically makes unhooking in the killers face completely safe.
Yes, they're trying to fix it, but they are failing miserably, and they're using us as forced beta testers.

Well from the survivor side let me tell you bullshit grabs still exist on the other end of the spectrum too. I've had a survivor be unhooked and running away then I've been grabbed.
So, let them fix it in their ways.

I don't know. Still grabbing like a maniac. And I have always yellow ping and never green. Description to server validation hits says that you don't get your hit if your connection is poor. I have solid ethernet connection but my ping is high due geography. I would play on closer server if there was one.
So I guess if you playing on wifi or have unstable connection you most likely will have this bs even if you have green ping.

80ms of ping, good router, not using wifi. Like I said, the grabs are nothing new, it's the targeting system after the grab. Normally after a missed grab, you would hit the survivor, but now its phasing through them.
I can adjust to this games janky crap factor, but when they're changing the crap factor every couple of months, it gets old. This game is either too unstable in its base code, or the devs aren't skilled/patient enough to get it right. Best thing they can do is leave it alone.
