Who play Wraith ?

Who plays and why

I played with it 1 year ago, before I was fooled by a united team, since then I always considered it as a garbage killer... Only, today, I want to give him a chance...

A trick from the players who play this killer ? Your experiences ?

Thank you🤗

Unfortunately I passed the prestige... now I'm at level 29 and not many addons... Moreover it is necessary to have common for good addons, it is a little bit hard.

    I'll take a look, thanks!😀

I like discreet killers too, he's the only killer who can counter spine chill, because he's invisible (completely invisible when he's not moving). But without perk, without addon... I don't know him well enough...

He mostly plays with Silent Bell (ultra rare) which makes Wraith pretty strong. Don't know of any other samples where he does very well with Wraith.

I also mostly play silent or random bell (bone clapper) or double uncloak speed. Or the combo with purple speed kicking/vaulting combined with the brown auto uncloak addon, which is a great pallet counter (you can also add Brutal Strength). But that's it. If you play green addons at best, I also dislike most of my Wraith games.

There is one build that works well (maybe combine green and yellow uncloak speed): Make Your Choice, Nemesis and Furtive Chase. Nemesis for two things: first is to get your obsession on first chase by getting stunned. From then on when you hook your obsession, the unhooker will become the new obsession by Furtive Chase, become exposed by MYC and will be oblivious by Nemesis (as he became the obsession) and also Nemesis showing you the aura for 4 seconds, telling you where your exposed target is heading to. Then find him to instadown.

I run this with Pop, just to have a reason to leave the hook and have something to do until the unhook happens.

I remember that its boost is boring for the loops... for the team, but it requires good timing (which I don't have).

I'll try your technique, after all they need to be traumatized.🤣

I only use BBQ for BP boost.......

    ....yeah...only for BP. 😏

I don't main him but I play him regularly with meme builds, no add-ons. I usually get 4ks with him. Not a bad Killer, just not the most picked when it comes to Red Ranks.

You can check this videos out if you want:

Regarding spine chill...I think that he doesn't counter spine chill. If you are looking in the direction of any survivor running that perk, they will notice.

Spine chill ignores the "Undetectable" status I think...

That will still work against SWF. The bone clapper is really good for disorienting people, especially when you have Windstorm. And I wouldn't say "take no chases". I'd say, "drop chase quickly". Like, if you see someone running towards an unsafe pallet while injured, just follow them and take your down. If you seem them going to a strong loop, though, just drop chase.

I get what you were going for, just clarifying for OP 👍 And I'm just tired of the forum collectively seeming to think that SWF is absurdly OP - if we get stats to show that I'd happily change my tune, but so far all we can say is that kill rates are very high as of the last stats drop. Anecdotally I only rarely run into really quality SWFs as killer and I only rarely get matched with them as survivor (red rank for both).

He's fun, of course, but the many loops have disgusted me with the character I can't get anywhere with him.😕

    I definitely chose the Hag.

I consider myself a Wraith main. There are a couple tricks you can use to be more deadly with him:

    • His uncloaking lasts 3 seconds, but for the first 1.5 s he doesn't ring his bell. By starting the uncloaking behind a wall you halve the survivors' time to react. Just keep LoS on the survivor on the second half (to avoid losing them) and you'll get easy first hits. By using this trick the clappers addons will be redundant.
    • Don't forget about your power after the first hit. Cloaking during chases allows you to catch up more quickly, take survivors by an unexpected angle, or drop the chase without them even realizing. Don't just play like an M1 killer, be unpredictable.
    • Use Windstorm. Even the yellow one makes a ton of difference, you will have a lot more map pressure and you can catch up to survivors much faster. Another addon which I found surprisingly good is Shadowdance: by pretending to uncloak in front of a pallet you'll induce survivors to drop it, so you can destroy it very quickly. It's useful even with windows, especially if you have Bamboozle.
    • If you have the feeling someone is using Spine Chill, look sideways while approaching a generator or in general a place where you think survivors are. With their Spine Chill off you're guaranteed to make them ######### their pants.

Moonwalk = Wall wall wall, or if the map are open they can see you...

I main Wraith and love to use him. I run sloppy, thanatophobia, thrilling tremors, and bbq/chili. I'll switch out thrilling tremors with other perks at times, but that's what I run most of the time.

I will try with this perks

I think with the new killer perk.. more easy for counter loop😀

I would still use it even if the aura reading was removed tbh.

The purple add-on that lets you see all auras within 12m (while cloaked) is godly. You can do drive-by patrols of generators in buildings, win all jungle gym hiding games, and absolutely stomp people on Yamaoka or the indoor maps. Wraith with this add-on is the single best counter to a stealth/immersion group in the entire game. At P3 and with BBQ and black wards, I can keep myself supplied with it for 90% of games. There really is no better combo than purple wind-storm and this purple add-on.

Yep, wraith main here although I now play him less as I feel like I've discovered everything there is to discover. The key is to hit and run, and rely on survivors healing out in the open. You basically have to run the bone clapper/silent bell addon otherwise you will never get a hit. I think bone clapper can be just as good as silent bell most of the time. And you have to use windstorm. Try not to loop pallets unless its right after an uncloak or it's very unsafe.
