Perks that should be base kit

Survivor Perks 

Borrowed Time - The only true anti tunnel perk (DS is basically an extra health state) having it base kit would encourage killers to always go after the unhooker and improve the flow of the game. It would also eliminate getting farmed off the hook (except in the cases of stealth killers). Having it base kit would also open up the possibility for NON META PERKS wow what an idea. Obviously making BT base kit wouldn’t do this alone but let’s just imagine other perks like DS have been balanced out. 


Self Care - This is a little bit of a hot take because bad survivors will (and do) rely on it when they shouldn’t, also you could always just take a medkit but there are situations in solo survivor and towards the end game where there are only 2 survivors left and one is being chased where it would just be of a lot of use, but obviously you don’t know you’ll be in that situation at the start of the game so its hard to justify a perk slot.


Killer Perks

Pop goes the weasel - Gens pop fast and the built in slow down (just kicking gens) is really ineffective. Pop rewards the killer for getting a hook and encourages them to leave the hook. It is definitely worth the perk slot that it takes up but its a practical perk, it's boring but often necessary. Having it base kit would, like BT, open up a perk slot for perks that are both more interesting to use and play against. 


HOT TAKE 

NOED - If NOED was base kit it would transform from a salt generator that makes survivors feel like they’re being cheated after being surprised with it, to an ultimatum. Do the totems or the killer gets stronger. It also thematically makes sense, what is more horror than a survivor getting caught at the very end and their friends have to make a hard choice, take freedom or go back against impossible odds and try to save their friend...or random person that flash light saved you earlier in the game. I think this would be much preferable to the current end game which consists of survivors T bagging, healing, and taking hits at the gate which is just realllllly immersive. The end game is the safest time when it should be the most dangerous, I think without the surprise of it happening it wouldn’t make as much salt and make the end game more enjoyable for both roles by giving another layer to the game ( as long as you don’t JUST care about winning, in which case you could still just do all the totems because you know its always going to there)  

In conclusion I have a paulie esther stream in the background as i'm writing this and he just kind of raged out (as elmo) about NOED, and then had his whole team that ran noed taunt the killer with TEAM DS > TEAM NOED, even though NOED didn't actually do anything for the killer. So what I think we should take away from that is that NOED causes even saints like Paulie to get salty and DS is bullshit lol
