Tips for killer in red rank

So I finally got rank 5 and by god, my head aches a lot, I now face people who played the game since day one. Wow, just wow. Now I'm not complaining but it would be helpful to at least learn some tips and tricks while I'm here. I would like some help on some of the killers like clown, and others with perks and use of power. Some help on looping would be nice as well, and how to loop the tiles. Again if you could help out that would be really appreciated.

Probably the best tip is to not commit to a chase if someone can loop very well - especially when they are in a strong tile.

Also don't chase survivors in areas where all gens are done since your primary objective is to protect generators. Also use a good build - an info perk and either aggresive perks like Bamboozle/Spirit Fury/Enduring or slowdown perks like Pop/Ruin/Corrupt

Yeah I figured that as much its just hard to do that sorta thing at times. Like on some certain maps it doesn't allow that to you at times like Lampkin lane, very little you can do

    Hello there

Pressure gens over commiting to a chase, especially when you cant get value ouf of it right away.

Getting pallets out of the way is often more important then downs or hooks.

There are 3 different player types in a chase: The Follower, the mindgame Marvin and the one who is mixing between mind games and just following. Be #3

Play how YOU want to play. Don't listen to salty Survivors who get mad because you run X Killer, Y Perk, or Z Add-on/Offering. You'll be getting a lot of toxicity, and a lot of hate just for beating them or losing to them.

Well its not that, its just I'm the one who is losing here not them

Good survivors know that their main objective is drawing you away from generators and wasting your time; even committing to one chase can forfeit your 3-gen if they hold W.

My main advice is to stop caring about the first few generators and try to think about the late game. If you let survivors pick and choose their locations you'll have a really hard time keeping up pressure.

Run Pop, play like Hag, win games.

Welcome to the jungle, hope you like fun and games.

Dont chase too long, dont chase someone that wants to be chased, 3 gen as often as possible. Understand that it's impossible to win vs a 4 man sweat squad.

Play dirty. Lot of red ranks like leaving a survivor on hook until 2nd stage is almost there, in order to give them more time on gens, punish that by returning to the hook and making sure they hit 2nd stage, then tunnel them out of the game.

Slug, camp, basement builds. Use every resource you have, and forget about their fun. They're only having fun if they can bully and get a 4 man escape, so it doesn't matter.

When playing a killer that doesn't have map pressure you have to have strategy and plan for the endgame after you get your first hook or two , pick the 4 closest gens together and protect them making sure they don't get done, don't over commit to chases if you notice a survivor is in a really good position to run you, try to make them waste a couple of safe pallets smack and go in some instances, eventually they will run out of safe zones and if you do a good job protecting those gens it's almost a guaranteed win for you because you've corralled them all in one area that they have to be in to possibly escape and there's no safety left for them

Something i do is i never respect palettes unless i know for sure the person i chase will drop it.

Many Survivors will test if you respect palettes if you don't they will probably drop them the next time. If you do they will probably not drop them.

Try to focus on the weakest survivors the strongest will just cost you more time to down and a long chase can lose you the game.

Sometimes you will have games where 3+ gens will be completed in the first 2 - 3 minutes.

If that's the case you need to kill someone as quickly as possible even if you have to tunnel someone.

A very important thing is mindgaming practice mindgaming, moonwalking and watch looping guides.

Moonwalking for me is tough like hiding your red highlight thats a bit of a challenge, I do however trick them into dropping it early however so I can break it.

I try my hardest on that, but I'm either gen rushed to hell or I get really lucky and 4k. Usually its gen rushed, I recently got their but apparently this game don't care about that.

I usually do, but for some reason they make every pallet safe, its annoying.

I know some but I was called out after defending 3 gens constantly so I immediately dropped chases and called me a camper when I was just defending gens
