Fall From Great Height
Why do hills and most buildings not count for this? Only thing I find that seems to work is ormond house. Will this ever be adjusted to effect more then the height of ormond house?
Edit: Threw a game spamming off saloon to make sure I got it as it’s so inconsistent

I know not all hills count, but most buildings should work. Maybe it is bugged?

I think it should work anywhere balanced landing triggers. Falling down the basement stairs got me progress, for example. Drops on haddonfield, the game and hawkins should work reliably too if you fancy using an offering to go there.

I doubt hills count, with "great height" they mean about Haddonfield's rooftops height.

The houses on Haddonfield definitely count. That's where I got mine.

If Balanced Landing activated then it should count.
Well besides that the falling challenges are notoriously buggy and can decide they just don't want to track that you fell and got staggered.

yeah But problem is you could go 20 games with only maps that have hills nothing higher and it becomes an impossible challenge that barely awards bp it’s annoying going game after game using BL good 10 times a game sometimes but 0/3 on challenge

It’s just 1 floor’s worth of height.
I didn’t know hill’s ever counted for this challenge; never worked for me.
I always use the giant hole in the floor of Badham elementary school in Springwood for this challenge. Especially if there’s a pallet in the back room behind the hallway leading from the stairway entrance to the hole, I can usually complete these ffgh challenges in one trial in this location.
Hawkins is helpful for this challenge, and Midwich with the central drops down into Courtyard, but better to run balanced landing for those.
Not sure if it’ll ever be adjusted for hills, but the Badham elementary drop is considerably shorter than the Ormand lodge.

With your average luck you get Macmillan Estate - Shelter Woods for this challenge and resort to leading the killer towards basement so you can jump down into it - take a hit. Run to the top and jump down again. Get unhooked/healed then do it one more time and walk away... literally the dumb flat map with a tree in the middle of it and ZERO landmarks. Worst map ever imo

pshh OMGz that tree!
Least fav
That map has the most lazy effort on devs behalf.

I did it on a hook hill, maybe it is bugged for you.
This challenge is so damn boring and inconsistent, but if you wanna do it faster go to hawkins, that is where I did it on tome 3 I think? Not sure if it was tome 2 or 3.

last time this challenge came up a lot of people said using BL kept them from getting it. I think it might be checking for the stagger condition, not really the height

I can verify that I did it this time while using Balanced Landing Perk without any issues - just most people forget you have to be getting chased for the jumps to count.

Yeah, I think this is bugged. Just fell high enough to where I staggered and it didn’t count. Why do the devs keep putting this challenge in tomes? Not only do you have to hope for the right map, but it’s bugged! This continues to prove that the Archive team has no clue what DBD is actually like. I think they just look at things and think “that’d be a cool challenge”. It’s probably why we’ve gotten so many grab challenges.
