Massive perk overhaul wold make the game much more enjoyable

In the current state of the game, both survivor and killer have like 6-10 perks that a very good and you see all the time, 10-15 that are quite decent, and the rest are just utterly useless.

It's quite a shame since combining different perks to create unique builds are one of the more fun parts of the game. In an ideal scenario, I would like to see and endgame screen with almost no duplicated perks and not every killer running Corrupt and / or Pop.

Most of the perks don't even need that much of a rework, just slight number changes (like the tinkerer buff a couple months ago) to make them worthwhile or at least an appealing alternative rather than a waste of a perk slot.

I think a pass through all the perks (even if very time consuming and tedious) to buff the unused / bad perks and nerf overused / strong ones to bring them all to a similar level, would really make Dead by Daylight a more fun experience.

No, it probably would not. The Law of Unintended Consequences just means for ever actual problem solved, three more would be created. That is why one doesn't overhaul massive numbers of things at once. Most of the issues people have were not predicted, but showed up after wards. Big overhauls just create big messes.

So are you suggesting that all the 100+ useless perks in the game should be revisited in small packs of 3 o 6 every mid chapter patch? That would take forever.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm suggesting. This is an interactive system with the Perks (and their consequences) not being knowable until they are live. If you change too many of them at once you increase, exponentially, the number of new issues created by unintended consequences. By in large, it isn't a problem that all these Perks are useless. They are fine. The problem is the few Perks everyone takes are so good that it makes the others suffer by comparison. :)

And easier fix is to adjust the few that everyone takes so that they are not auto-include, and the others look more pleasing.

Another problem is newer perks either being better replacements for meh existing perks. Or just being awful, more situational versions of other perks. We've seen what happens when they try to make a new meta perk (MoM).

Going along with this, why not randomly change perks on the PTB just to test what changes they'd have on the live game? Don't make changes just because killers get reworked, make change for the sake of testing new things. Speaking of PTB why cant that be something that's continually updated, instead of a quick test to see if there's anything truly game breaking with their new additions.
