Dead by Daylight should no longer be affected by an outage. Players logging into the game between September 26 3PM ET and September 28th 3PM ET will receive 1M Bloodpoints as compensation.

    They've said they have no plans to drop support at this time. We'll see how long it keeps up, but hopefully until the game dies!

    Said current gen will continue to receive updates but that's pretty vague and more likely is for future DLC rather than optimization to fix current gen issues.

    It will be a while before next gen consoles get rolling for the masses. Preorder is limited and then there’s pricing in the age of Covid layoffs. They’ll have to support current gen for a while longer regardless. Optimization for current gen is another beast though.
