Off Days
How do you handle off days?
I’m so tired and just unfocused today I literally can’t do anything right. I’m taking the rest of the day to myself to decompress.
Usually I’ll switch from my main killer to a few others and play survivor but I was getting so frustrated making mistakes that I’d expect from a rank 10 I finally just called it.
Hag? If it weren’t for my experience with her I’d lose. I just spent a whole game wandering around barely placing half of my traps and ended up barely pulling a draw in red ranks.
Trapper? I got 0 hits and one person caught in a trap because I couldn’t find anyone. They were just playing immersed. It shouldn’t have been that hard.
Ghost Face? Well, I at least managed to get some hooks and slow the game down.
Full disclosure: I have less than 400 hours and about 200 hours ago I stopped playing regular killers to just play Hag which I knew was a mistake because I knew I’d have to learn to chase in red ranks.

Play a game to relax to rather than stress over if your getting that wound up. Nothing worse than losing th eloce of gaming through an addictive multiplayer one

Ya just don't play dbd for a few days. You'll feel inspired again soon enough.

I just go into blood point harvesting mode and stop caring if I win or lose. If I get facecamped though (rare) I'll just kill myself on hook almost immediately if I'm not in the mood.

I play something else, typically a single-player game.

When I get frustrated I will initiate a meme match, Killer or Survivor, doesn't matter. It's just a good way to lighten the mood and have fun with other players.
I had a Ghostface running at me and I pointed at him to 'hold up'. He stopped, looked back at me, and we proceeded to crouch back and forth at each other. He left me alone the rest of the match until I was the last survivor and Mori'd me- wasn't even mad :D

Usually on off days, I'll switch from one side to the other, but if gameplay there doesn't feel better, I just shut the game off and go watch cartoons or play puzzle games on my computer. Because you can't control 4/5 players in the game, it can definitely get frustrating, and the best approach is a little bit of distance until you're mentally ready for it again!

I just spend the day doing something more relaxing, I’ll go for a walk or hang out with a friend or have a nap or a hot bath or something.
