Luck should effect chests, and chest loot should be reweighted
Hear me out. alot of people already are under the false belief that luck effects chests (its an rng dice role... it kinda should?) so why doesn't it?
Along with this, items of higher rarity are harder to get through a chest. this isn't really a bad thing, nor is it a good thing. it stops survivors from farming out good items during the match, but at the same time devalues searching chests (without plunderers) over.. simply bringing in your own item. You only really search chests when your item has run out, your in a completely safe space, or you didn't bring one in (/are item farming)
reweighting items in chests to be a lot more random on what your going to get (with some restrictions) would make chests far far more appealing during a match. You could even change chest weights based on how the match is currently going, how many survivors/gens are left etc.
Keys should have a 0% chance to spawn in chests at purple or pink rarity, unless using plunderers, or in the endgame collapse. then they should have a 25% chance within the endgame collapse. makes it useful, and increases pressure but opens up an alternate means of escape if doors are too close and the hatch is closed etc. but you could also be wasting time searching chests instead of opening an exit gate, or all chests could be looted. Pre endgame collapse though, keys should never ever be looted.
Medkits, maps, toolboxes and flashlights should all have a 25% chance to be looted at base. raritys should be completely random, with higher raritys towards the start and end of a match (first minute, and endgame collapse.) People injured, should have a slightly higher chance at looting a medkit (33%)
Luck with how it works could weight things in your favour. 9% luck effecting rarites other then brown and yellow? sign me up!

Another great idea that behaviour will ignore

Luck effects Ace In The Hole: The higher the luck, the more of a chance you will get a second add-on. Other than that, it's as you say.

I'd rather the luck mechanic go away entirely, keys showing up in chest was a terrible idea, it's the equivalent to killers finding a mori randomly through the match.
If keys didn't exist i would be for it but luck effecting nothing but the 4% chance of unhooking yourself is enough to me, it should just not exist imo.

So did you read the part about it being impossible to find keys pre-EGC or..?

I don't want any chance of a key at all, they wrote there should with plunderers or a 25% chance in EGC.
;)

I'm not op but good guess honey

I'm getting back to work.

Sounds like a plan and don't worry, being petty is what I do best :)
Also was less a call out more a question but, you do you honey

i don't think they'd ignore it so much as they have so many people granting good ideas/other alternative ideas that its hard to keep up let alone add anything that everyone can want.
Does it actually? i never realized that interaction with that specific perk. i thought it was just simple chance based
Rng is useful when applied in a right sense. which is why im suggesting readjusting weight values for luck, with keys not findable in chests excluding the endgame. Which before the collapse was added the endgame was as soon as all gens were done/1 survivor was left. keys were balanced upon their release (though balanced is not really a fair word, more so balanced within their enviroment ie moris and hatch being open and not closeable etc) but now days keys have gained more and more strength.
Keys are a valid method of escape situationally. its only BS pre endgame collapse or when it allows other survivors to escape for free. having them only gainable when theres no one left, or by bringing them in would balance them a ton more. since finding a random key is just... BS. it would also decrease the key economy making them rarer. Keys are about as fair as mori's and until they rework mori offerings (Which also let you end the game prematurely) keys outside of the situations i've listed are pretty fair. except when you close the hatch in their face. that seems a bit unfair. should have a cooldown period of 10s to allow you to down and pick them up.

Luck does need to do more.

Just significantly decrease the chance of a key, to barely nothing, and let luck affect those odds. I don't care if somebody gets a key as long as they're building specifically for it with chest looting builds since there's only so many chests.

The idea has been brought up before. A number of times. It really is something that should get changed. Doesn't seem like it would take very much work on BHVR's part either.

theres only 3 chests in match typically if you don't bring offerings, and theres offerings by the killer to lessen that (which i think tbh shouldn't exist anyways as it like, causes survivors to waste less time)
Honestly feel that there should be more chests by default tbh. make keys only lootable during the endgame with a higher chance, so it serves as an alternate means of escape for the last person or few people (against say a bloodwarden play) wastes time, keeps people off gates etc when the match is close to over.
the key part might take a lil work as theres no particular value to just tweak to change item raritys when something happens in the match. but even without that, more chests should be in the match (even just as a special event) and everything should be mixed rarity to incentivze them. its even useful on the killer side as it wastes time off of gens, even if they do get a heal off or a neat item. Keys 100% shouldn't be lootable base game without plunderers though or outside of the endgame as it can allow just any 3-4 squad to easily escape through hatch.

Hatch is really the problem imo, if they deleted it and egc starts as soon as the 3rd survivor died or the last gen was done i think it'd be better for the game over all.
If keys were repurposed to help with exit gates i'd like that better since you both parties can visually see where the gates are at the start of the match instead of looking for a randomly spawning free escape.

It still serves a purpose in a way, reducing the chance for survivors to get keys. Like I said, I don't mind people getting keys like that as long as they're bringing in a looting build for it.

Same here, i just think that unless their bringing a loot build for it they shouldn't find them outside of the endgame, ie early.
