Look Another Spirit Post
So I am a survivor main (if you've seen any of my comments/posts I've pointed this out before) and I don't get why so many survivors complain about Spirit. She is counterable, you just have to learn to do it. If she does a fake out in front of a pallet, don't risk vaulting it, that's your own fault for playing dumb because it's an actual strategy.
"But Stridor Spirit renders Iron Will useless." You might say, out of the hundreds of games I've played against Normal Spirits and Stridor Spirits, I've learned to counter both just fine, yeah I lose a few games here and there, but I give the killer a GG instead of coming to the forums to post "X killer is OP!!"
No, that just means the killer you played against knew how to use that killer, Hillbilly just got nerfed, and two killer perks were buffed(? I don't play killer so I don't know how to feel about new Franklin's/Knockout lol).
What more do you want? Every killer you can't counter to receive a nerf because "Woes me, x killer killed me and is therefore overpowered." Grow up, survivors still need DS to get a nerf, until that happens, none of us get to complain about Spirit being "overpowered".
I just don't get it.

There's one SIMPLE counter to spirit, Fixated and Iron Will, she phases, you walk TOWARDS her, not in the same direction she's phasing but TOWARDS her, 9/10 times she'll lose you.

Exactly, except everyone bullies and wants to nerf the girl, also preform scratch mark fake outs, make them go one way, walk the other.

If they don't agree, they can cry about it, I don't care cuz they are gonna make stupid reasoning and make straw man arguments ignoring everything I said. There are counterplays to Spirit, but they refuse to learn them and instead make posts like, "So, when is Spirit getting a nerf, she's OP"

Unfortunately you are not told which killer you face so you have to play with Iron Will every match to gain said benefits.
@Mekochi Human beings also only have five senses with sight and hearing being the two most powerful. We don't use taste, touch, or smell in DbD. With Spirit you are essentially taking away the greatest way people perceive their world (sight) and make decisions based on that perception. Naturally you are going to get push back because of it.

The people who cry about Spirit are the ones who like to bring 4 second chance perks then get upset because Spirit dunks on the small PP build. They are so use to countering 95% of the Killer cast they complain when they find that 5%. I for one think Spirit is fine and easy enough to outplay, sometimes you win sometimes you lose but it's that way with any Killer who knows what they are doing.

I run a build on my Feng to prove Survivors have it easy, Decisive, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, and Tenacity. Yet people still say Survivor is underpowered, I have won 556 games out of the 600+ games I've played, so you tell me who has it easy

I win most of my solo que games as well, when I SWF that win rate is easily 98%. I think our favorite build is FtP + Soul Guard x4, it's extremely toxic if I'm being totally honest.

I hate how people say "SWF is fair and balanced" it really isn't. Especially if it's SWAT SWF. They are toxic as hell, also that whole Feng build, I don't run all the time, I usually play Nea who had Adrenaline, Decisive, Urban and I forget the fourth perk. Usually I play Feng build when someone says survivors are underpowered and I am SWF with them, or I have a challenge to escape.
But yeah, Spirit is easily counterable if you do it right, and you know her and her ability correctly. They say she is overpowered but she is one of the hardest Killers to learn

It's pointless. People will keep saying the other side is OP and needs to be nerfed pronto when they lose.
There is one thing each one of us, except a very respectable few, are completely unable to admit: that we played stupid and that's why we lost. We make up all kinds of excuses, because it's too hard to own our mistakes.
Hence all these "nerf, buff, OP, unfair, unfun, noskill, brainless" posts. Throw in the fact that a lot of players have this "I'm a customer you gotta please me" attitude, and what you get is a bunch of undignified whining. Because it's easier than adapt. And people like easy.

If the Spirit is not a potato that won't do anything. She can easily hear you breathing whenever she gets close, even without Stridor, and even if she misses you she shouldn't be phasing for long enough to not correct a mistake like that with her eyes.

SWF is easily the strongest anything in this game by a long shot. My team and I played a 4 man swf with the build I told you earlier for 6 hours and in that entire time we only had two people die between all of our matches. Want to take a guess which Killer we ended up facing the most?

Best part is, she wasn't even the one to get the two kills. It was a Freddy one match and a Huntress another, both tunneled hard core since we didn't bring any obsession perks.

When it comes from a killer main, they're "entitled" when it comes to a survivor main they will possibly listen with a few here and there getting mad that even survivor mains agree Spirit isn't OP

I play 60/40 killer. (Mostly play surv with the gf.) I dont understand the compaints. I love being chased. To the point where, if im bored ill look for the killer. So naturally i learned how to counter killers in chase. Hardest ones for me to counter is a good doc and a patient ph. Other than that its cake.

The only ones I have an issue countering are great Nurses or a good PH, Freddy is kinda iffy

Freddy's are easy for me to 360 with a controller. Most of them lunge. I dont count great nurses cause they are so rare chances are you woild go weeks with out finding one.

I find most people who say she can't be countered are the same who try and loop her like a normal killer.
Or admit she can be countered but dont like the fact that its alot of guess work. I personally dont mind that aspect of her, it feels alot more satisfying to juke her or at the very least make the chase last a long time. She's fine the way she is

Thanks, a survivor who uses the brain that's rare, but I appreciate those ones A LOT.
Actually, one thing I want to add for stridor, is that is not SO OP as people think it is. The volume is so loud, that sometimes you can't tell whether you are right next to them, or just a little bit far away.

I agree about Spirit, I’ve made at least two topics trying to get people to see the fun side in facing Spirit.
I will say, however, I don’t like your delivery. It seems like your gaslighting and trying to get people to come and argue with you who oppose your opinion. A lot of us are adults & can comprehend/understand that people have their own opinions. I, too am a Survivor Main and yes, I don’t agree with a lot of things that people who are also Survivor mains spew (NOED is OP, Spirit is OP etc) but I don’t try to instigate negative discussions.
You had my vote until you said you were “waiting” for Survivors to come in here and get mad with you for agreeing with Killers. Not all Survivors disagree with you, & I’m pretty sure the ones who do won’t come in here and trash talk you because majority of us are better than that.

It's just so many killers get loads of backlash and called toxic, but in reality survivors are just as toxic. We gotta defend each other, it's only a game. Just like PC and Console are both platforms that get played on, no need to group together the toxic people of a specific group and call the whole group toxic.
Games are meant to be fun, someone tried making a post saying removing SWF would remove toxicity, but killers can be toxic too. It's not only one groups fault, everyone has a contributing factor. And if a solo queue plays coordinated, they get called SWF. Honestly, people just need to learn to counter.
Spirit's Stridor has to be used correctly and you have to be able to pinpoint locations. It's a guessing game on both side. Spirit that doesn't have a great hold on Stridor yet? "GG ez baby killer" whelp you got yourself on a list of people to Mori, tunnel/camp, or just any way to ruin their experience.
If they learn to play good with Stridor, they get called toxic for using an "overpowered" killer. Yeah, okay.

I wasn't meaning all Survivors in general if you thought I meant that, my apologies. I just see half the survivor mains on these threads get mad the second someone disagrees with them. Same thing with killers. If it came off as me trying to instigate toxicity, again I apologise. But I was honestly just waiting to be insulted or whatnot, because it happens so often that someone will get bashed for having a specific opinion and thought it'd happen to me for stating mine about the whole "Nerf Spirit, she's overpowered!" Argument.

For example, today I'm spamming spirit to prove people that spirit is not as strong as they think she is.
Spirit can be strong:
- If you know how to play spirit
- If it fits your play style
- If you enjoy playing her
- If you have played her a decent amount of hours
You can't just play spirit and instantly win games. That's not how this game works.

I didn’t mean to come in here all defensive like that, I just wanted you to understand that there are Survivor Mains on the forums who are good debaters and can have a decent conversation with others they don’t agree with (same with Killer Mains). If it wasn’t your intention to instigate, then allow me to apologize for seeing it as such. The forums do consist of unnecessary toxicity from both sides, trust me I understand your POV. I’m just tired of it personally, and didn’t want to see it emerge in here.

It's nice to find people on the threads that are just really sweet and nice to new people/people who have played the game for awhile. Or just killers/survivors who are nice to the opposing side. It makes me feel bubbly.
Also if devs buy into the whole "Nerf Spirit" movement, I will feel bad for Spirit mains, they'll have to adjust their play style because the devs keep pleasing the survivors. Not only that, Hillbilly didn't even need the nerf, only the add-ons.
And I can't begin to count how many people have said "Nerf Blight" when he's still in PTB, he's not public release, that's not the final product. Sit down, relax and just play your game, maybe eat a snack while you look over the final release version.

I keep playing now spirit and I lose more games than with every other killer.

The best is picking your side (killer/survivor), but knowing just the necessary about the other side.
But of course you can do what fits you.
I've been a main killer for a lot of time, and I just want to tell you one thing about playing killer: patience.
All about playing killer, is about being patient, and map controlling. Cold minded...etc.
As a killer you have to handle a lot of toxicity, etc.
Sometimes playing killer feels like taking caring of 4 childs in a playground, literally.
