Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Title. Since I can't have more than 10 options I'll just keep track myself. My personal favorite is Blight. I love his backstory, I love his design, I love his addons, I love all the setup that he came with, I even love the design of the flowers. What about you guys?

Blight: 1

Huntress: 2

Death Slinger: 2

Legion: 3

Ghost Face: 3

Clown: 2

Spirit: 3

Plague: 3

Myers:1

Nea: 1

    Anna/Huntress, Legion, Deathslinger, and GF.

I like how realistic Clowns is, and I like how Docs is based on a real person, but they are not my favorite killers.

I like the Blight, but I have to play as him first before I can make judgement.

I assume we're talking about original chapters here and not including the licensed ones. I'll also exclude Ghostface despite having an original backstory, he's still technically a licensed character and not only that but he does have a lot of prior source material that the devs definitely took some inspiration from so I would make the claim even Ghostface's original backstory isn't entirely original to begin with anyway.

Although if I was including Ghostface, he'd be near the top, I've always loved the grounded concept and story of Ghostface as compared to the supernatural licensed killers like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, or Freddy Krueger. I think those characters are super cool, but there's definitely an extra layer of fear when it comes to stories that are realistic in the sense that they're possible, that they could have actually happened. Or more appropriately... could happen. I think that's pretty scary and messed up.

Similarly, because of this The Clown is my favorite killer lore wise, much like Ghostface he's definitely one of the more realistic and grounded characters of the killer cast. I love the aesthetic of the character, the theme of his chapter that plays, it's all super creepy and cool, it was such a missed opportunity to not have a traveling circus map with the Big Top or something.

If I had to pick one, it would be the Deathslinger. There simply isn't one thing that isn't good there. Very interesting to read, very exciting to visualize. Vengeful Caleb is amazing. That's the character I would watch full-length movie about.

if I had to pick multiple people, I would add Spirit, Plague and Legion to the list, probably. Spirit was the first character, who had actually thrilling backstory, with strong pacing. Plague had lots of effort put into her development, which is admirable, including the period of time she came from isn't explored much. And athough there isn't much originality in Legion's backstory (or Frank's and Julie's backstories, to be precise), as they are basically teen canadian Manson family, I always liked how much you can do with them headcanon-wise. Same goes for Ghostface - he has a great baseline, which you can expand pretty interestingly.

As for licenses - I've always been a fan of Freddy Krueger. But only the original one. The remake backstory, which is what DbD went with, is kinda a big flop imo, not only they haven't taken any new direction with him, but they also took away all the scariness from his backstory.

Spirit. You can't help but feel bad for her, murdered by her own father.

Ghostface is my favorite. I just love the narcissism in having a separate alias to write about your own crimes and then film it??? And to go by 'Jed Olsen'?? He's ridiculous and I love it.

Plague, normally I'd hate religion based anything but I think the devs did religion interesting when making Plague.
