What sort of QOL do you think we NEED in DBD?

Hey all, I'd love to collate a list of Quality of Life things people want in this game, things that would make life easier that doesn't involve Nerf This / Remove That.

A couple I've had in my head for a while.


  1. An end game totem notifier, this would show up when all 5 gens are done, it would say how many totems are left on the map, it wont say if any are hexes, but it does give survivors info that noed could be active while not completely negating it's affects (Could possibly only show for solo/duos idk)
  2. "Hold Shift To Insta Buy" - Holding shift and clicking items in the bloodweb will buy them without the slow phase animations, making bloodwebs easier to go through when sinking a million bloodpoints into something.
  3. Removing Moderate/Considerably/Tremendously from perk/items/addons and giving solid numbers
  4. Re-sizing character portraits to show all the characters on one page removing the scrolling effect
  5. F1 menu for each survivors shows how many perks/tiers they still have left to complete before maxing
  6. Recycling/Unlimited brown/yellow addons for survivors and killers, remove them from the blood web, give people things to always run on killer while giving survivors addons for when they want to run items, or with recycling, let us mass dump addons/offerings for 50/75% of their cost
  7. Show other survivors in lobby which perks the other survivors are running (Mobile already does this!)

What are your thoughts or ideas? Anything you don't like & your reason for that? Please leave your ideas and discuss!

Forum Suggestions

  1. Remove / Change Mashing Struggle To Something Simpler, for what it's worth a good friend of mine can only play survivor for an hour or two before RSI forces him to stop.
  2. Match Overview map to see where players were and what they were doing (I assume like Evolves map)
  3. Remove Unnecessary "Hold button to mori" "hold Lctrl to send to cage" one button press and the animation plays out.

    Honestly I’d like the struggle phase button mashing removed. Like that’s kind of the only thing stopping me from playing survivor more often. I’d rather hold a button to give up. The button mashing just for a chance to stay in the match is just not a very good time for me personally.

    Estimated queue times in the main menu so I know whether to pick survivor or killer for fast matches.

    I'd like a recap of the entire game on the ending screen. It would show stuff like who was doing a generator or totem and when, who was chased for the longest, who completed the most generators, etc etc.

    If i'm not mistaken, White Noise 2 had something like this.

    Wiggling and struggling are boring & crappy mechanics. They messed up my last controller, too.

    For Killer, a Legion overhaul. He isn't fun to play against and he can be miserable to play.

    For Survivor, something to do during queue times. It can be really boring.

    In general, instant buy on BloodWebs.

    Give me a skillcheck simulator, wouldn't be so bad now that perfecting great skill checks isn't giving a 3% progress boost now.

    Being able to send someone to a cage just by tapping LCtrl and not holding LCtrl. Holding it makes the system clunky.

    A rework of the pip and bloodpoint system that takes into account what you bring in. People can use all the DS/UB they want - suddenly their hollow victory is even emptier.

    So does this also apply to killers, or do you just want to punish survivors lacklustre point gain even further by penalizing them with perks they've earned?

    I find it odd your "QOL" is "punish survivors".

    Do you mean, you tap it and it plays the animation? I don't want to misunderstand what you mean.

    I find it odd you think my choice of example is the stacking point, and that you assume I wouldn't want it to apply to everyone. I cannot lie, I am getting real sick of the assumptions on this forum. If I don't say that one thing from each side is bad, then I'm the villain. It's so disgusting.

    I asked if it applied to killers, you could have said yes - but you instantly went on the defensive, which tells me that yes, you only want to punish survivors for certain perk usage.

    This thread was neither Killer or Survivor sided, your instant reaction was to name two survivor perks that should be penalized when used together, you could have simply said " and these killer perks" or "this also applies to certain killer builds".

    You didn't just ask. You quite literally attacked my idea by adding a long an unnesseccary tangent about punishing survivors. You literally closed your post with "I find it odd that your 'qol' is 'punish survivors'".

    Why should I have to constantly name two broken things? Why would you assume I'm biased? All you want to do is pick a fight. Please, stop.

    Yes. When you press space, you pick up survivor. That's how caging animation should be as well. Press LCtrl and animation starts straightaway. The idea of holding LCtrl for a second or so is unnecessary and only makes the system clunky.

    They should do it for mories too I guess in that case, you press the button, you're locked in and then it takes out the clunky hold to do x.

    give both killers and survivors something to do in lobby, like skirmish or like the practice range in overwatch.

    decreasing the grind. Ive been playing this game for about 3 years and im only about halfway through getting this game to 100%, so i can imagine how put off newer players could feel with how much there is to do and get.

    A massive revamp to a majority of the killer and survivor perk pool. the survivor meta has legit been the same since A lullaby of the dark, which came out 3 years ago, and most killer perks are so bad that they aren’t even worth running. nerfing and buffing a bunch of perks would make the game feel really fresh and fun for both sides.

    • Statistics at the end of the match (longest chase, Gen-Jockey, fastest dc in the west etc.)
    • Challenge progress during a trial
    • Adept Achievements for Killers now require a 4k
    • KYF without another player, so you can explore the map alone
    • Ingame feedback if action has been taken against a player you reported (like this)
    • Loadouts for Perks and Outfits
