In-game Voice Chat for Groups

I know it was mentioned that for people who play cross-platform, you can use discord to chat and stay in touch, and that is what I always use. However, I find it incredibly inconvenient when I'm playing the game with headphones to hear it and at the same time trying to be on a call with someone, especially when sound is such an integral part of the game and playing without it or limiting it makes it incredibly difficult.

I'm not really a tryhard or trying to grind up ranks or anything, but I even find that it takes me out of the experience a lot to not be immersed in the sound of the game. My and my other platform friends often opt out of playing together because of it.

I guess I mostly just want to know what the status is of whether adding in-game voice chat is viable and whether the devs have considered implementing it. I understand it may not be as easy as it sounds, but personally it seems silly for a game with a pretty heavy sound mechanic to not have in-game chat.
