So, if the Entity does make mistakes...
(inspired by a post in the 'do killers meet' thread)
Now, if the devs said the Entity does make mistakes, how likely is it e.g. for having forgotten to mess with the hearing of the killers who's eyes it messed with (deathslinger e.g.)
Cause, lbr, it's not big mistakes that make the biggest difference, it's the small ones.

You want a mistake? The entity accepting Felix into the realms very well could have killed it if it was uinlucky.

i made a similar thread about it a while back, as I'm not too happy with the implications (i'm still open to be surprised).
I'd personally love it more if it were characters with no connection to the Entity whatsoever to be the ones to fight it off (at least for a while)

The only issue is that the entity is its own controlled environment. The only way for any old survivor to fight it off is if the entity lets them (such as the hatch, vigo attempted to create it, the entity liked it and now its a survivors last, desperate move). The only way for them to do it on their own terms is if the tools are brought from outside. Most likely not only that, but their purpose is somehow concealed as well.

could you give me the source for the hatch lore?

On one rare occasion, I encountered an alternative way to escape. It suddenly dawned on me that I was the only remaining Survivor

A lot of people consider this to be Vigo, and since the entity works off the minds of survivors and killers, it was created by the entity, as a way to sustain hope. It's not official, but its the best theory there is.

so it's not as such 'lore' that vigo tried to create it, leaving the possibility that there might be a different force at work? (like, maybe the one who's assisting the observer?)

Again, very, very doubtable, like barely worth considering if at all territory. The entity has proven that within it's realms, even death can't stop it playing with you. The only way to truly die is to make it bored and be cast into the void realm. The entity works mostly on a memory and understanding basis. Most of it's constructs come from those it's captured. If the entity needs to patch a gap and doesn't understand something (such as languages most of the time) it does its best to interpret it. The closest we've ever seen to a survivor taking control is vigo's lab, and again, many think the entity is letting him do this, whether out of curiosity, entertainment, or perhaps the entity doesn't know what it is and hopes vigo's intelligence might help.

eh, i still say there's a hitherto unknown force at work. it's how stories work
