How do you counter Object of Obsession?
I just got out of a game with three Objects and it was beyond painful. They knew where I was at all times and knew when to push gens and when to run. They all ran ds as well as sprint burst so that was fun.
As a killer , how do you counter stuff like this?

Happen to be running a perk or add-on that inflicts blindness or tunnel the OoO to death.

Oddly enough (though this might only apply to < 8 ranks) if you ignore them stoically, they'll start slipping up. it might be that in an sfw this keeps them busy with warning their teammates, keeping everyone from doing stuff

The Third Seal and/or Blindness add ons.
4 -
you had 3 of them so saying tunnel the OoO to death wont work they need to nerf/rework this perk already.
5 -
The rarity of more than 1 person running the perk is extreme, but the usual counter is just to go after them if they're on an objective. If you see them wandering, you can ignore them and just keep track of what area they're in

You don't. It's the strongest info perk in the game with a very controllable (and by extension pretty worthless) downside to try and make up for it. It's even good against stealth killers. It's just not something you can play around. I've seen people claim that, as Trapper or Hag, you can place "bait traps," but... You're still wasting your own time on something that's actually designed to not benefit you. That's like saying "slug out the DS" or "just do bones."

You don't. Seriously, if the users are smart, you can't counter it. They'll run the moment you're closing in, and they'll fix gen when you're away. Either way you're in lose-lose situation.
It's like fixing gens in front of your face, and you can't really do anything about it. That's why OoO really needs to go.
(Unless you're god nurse or spirit or stealth killers, you can't counter them)

By tunneling them out of the game.

Leaving.

this why some killers dc sometimes.

Chase them. There's no greater downside to being able to see each other.

How do u tunneling 3 survivors at once?
2 -
you could run dark devotion against only one OoO,
but other people's suggestions are more applicable

You dont you accept the lost and move one for me i like going in a corner and stand still until the game is over i accept my depip. The survivor dont like it because they depip as well but that not the killer issue

If you aren't running blindness perks or addons, go cry in a corner or dc. Thats the only counter.

If a group is running builds like this then you aren't going to win unless they suck at the game. Survivor is the power role and this is probably the single strongest build in the entire game and it's x4.
1 -
You can't counter it, only prematurely.
0 -
You don't. If you aren't a stealth killer, and really don't want to deal with it, just stand in a corner and wait for them to do their gens. Alt tab and watch cat videos.

Save his ass for last. If a survivor wants my attention, i never give it to him. If a survivor has object of obsession i save him for last because he is more than likely wanting to troll.

I've had swf teams with one player having it. It's not a good time with the whole team knowing where you are the entire game. If you can tell its swf then I'd say hard tunnel and kill the one player. If you can't tell then give them priority but don't tunnel necessarily
Another way it sucks is having save the best for last and OoO is your obsession.

so Michael Myers starts undetectable which they only know your general direction insidious makes you undetectable and scares them and imo most object gamers aren't good at chases so just go for them unless they aren't at midwich if they are there go undetectable right above the gates get the ez yoink and camp they will try to blind you and unhook but you aren't stoopid so grab them get the next get all 9 million stbfl stacks and smack them out of bt then you are the ultimate gamer and have too much pressure wait for ub then kill the sh!t out of them

I really wished they’d buff up the duration of some of them. Twins have 15 seconds!

Use Third Seal.
2 -
I think the reason their blindness add ons is so short in duration is because of the frequency Victor can be sent out, his aura can’t be read anyway, AND the devs were all too aware of Victors slugging potential right from the get go, and didn’t want to make a snowball like that possible without Third Seal.

This. If you're using a good killer tunnel the OoO to death. Otherwise just don't play.

Forfeit a normal match and tunnel the most annoying one first, 4 man slug & bleed out is all so acceptable
0 -
Actually that’s a very fair point
Still think clown’s should be 60 since freddy’s is too
0 -
Let them enjoy that crap while they can. Devs are changing it soon. Same with ds. They better laugh now cause killer mains get the last laugh soon.
0 -
Clown has way more control over the frequency he can repeatedly inflict Blindness though.
Not gonna say I wouldn’t like it to be longer for Kerosene Can, but I can see how potentially problematic it could be against solos.

OoO needs a total overhaul; it is ridiculously, brokenly strong, especially when a 3-, 4-stack SWF is THE power role.
1 -
Yeah it could be but I think it’s at least worth testing
0 -
What's frustrating is that they have a pretty decent idea for it now but they'll likely nix the idea, and either way we won't be getting anything for like half a year.

Ugh that perk loadout is disgusting.

What you describe is actually the true danger of Object that people don't realise almost always, many times because they talk shite about OoO without ever having decent experience with and against the perk.
The perk is only strong when the team is playing stealthy. Which at least in my experience often does not happen; they simply play normally and have the OoO user call out locations.
This team appears to be the type to not care about being in a chase or interacting with the killer and simply do gens and be stealthy. That's the issue with Object because you can do call outs from so far away and have such a head start that you won't really manage to kill anyone, let alone probably hook them twice before all generators are done.
