Mouse clicks not registering?
This has nothing to do with the quality of my mouse, but its been like this for a long time. I miss out on a lot of hits and flashlight saves because of it. Is there a fix?

not yet.
it's a mess for both sides: not starting unhooks or heals, missing the hatch or the flashlight saves you mentioned for survivors, not being able to use one's powers and missing what should have been a clear hook therefore for killers.

If you are running the game at a text resolution over 100% in Windows that is probably the problem. Check the display settings on your desktop and if it’s more than 100% text resolution then here’s the fix
1) Go to the DbD install location (Steam: ..\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight) and right click for Properties
2) click "Change high DPI settings", then check "Override high DPI scaling behavior." and set the following option to "Application" instead of System
This will let the game run at its preferred text resolution without it getting into some sort of conflict adjusting the resolution back and forth or whatever between the game window and the desktop.

I had this problem and it has been in the game for a while. A lot of threads about it. I don't know whether you checked them or not, but there are several solutions.
I don't really know how to quote from another threads, so I will attach some screenshots.
I prefer the last method. Because I don't like my icons being small at 100% resolution.
The problem is that when you use the last method with DPI, yes, your hits are fine but you move weirdly in the game. You turn slowly I would say. At least it happened to me. It was frustrating because I couldn't find a solution for my case.
And to fix that you need to go to your mouse settings at Control Panel and set your mouse cursor speed to 100%. Maybe it will be fine for you without this additional setting. But that's how I got rid off M1 and M2 not registering.

it's what I meant. I main deathslinger, and I can'T tell how many clear shots I missed because my click to aim didn't register.
