Why Are Killers Locked in Rather Than Being Able to Swap in Lobby?

Excuse me? If I load up Hag and see 4 flashlights of course I'd prefer to switch than sit in queue, it wasn't like this before so why now? Why are survivors allowed to change but killers aren't? Feels bad man.

    It's because MMR is still running in the background, even though it's currently off for MM right now.

    It was done like that for the mmr system, that is currently turned off for an indefinite amount of time.

    MMR is off right now, but you would have a different MMR per killer if it was on.

    Devs wanted to put in an individual ranking for each killer. So a red rank who never played Nurse could learn without getting destroyed. That requires they patch the obvious exploit of searching for a team with a low rank killer only to switch to your main.

    While the individual killer ranking has been turned off they kept the killer lock, I'm assuming because they want to implement it back in later.
