It did, it actually worked so well Freddy had to start fighting Jason so he'd stop killing all his prey. This isn't a problem for the Entity at all. Sure, it might struggle to control him like Myers. But it could absolutely force Jason to hook a few survivors.

Jason would still kill them himself before he'd ever hook them. Then the entity would get upset just like Freddy did and I could see him getting kicked out.

You mean like Myers or Pyramid Head? Two killers that we already have. Imagine this. Jason is being disobedient, his mothers voice shows up and says "The hooks Jason, Use the hooks!" Do you really think that wouldn't solve the problem?

John Carpenters The Thing would be hype. Exploring the creepy Antarctic base while a mimic tracks you. Could have a trust mechanic and multiple mimics. It's skins could be different morphs like the dog mass or the spider head guy after transforming back into its body horror form. It also wears everyone elses cosmetics.
Resident Evil certainly checks the Something is CHASING you box. And the only real creature with cosmetic variety is Nemmy. Mr.X is monolithic with his trenchcoat and hat.
Some other videogame monster would be cool too. Evil Within is one big homage. Prey has a horror vibe. The Typhon are varied and malevolent. Let It Die, I heard Uncle Death was looking for some work.

There is a ton of licenses I would love to see.
- While this is generic, FNAF could make a good chapter. Some may not find it scary, but it doesn't have to be scary to be in DBD.
- A more lesser known one would be Carrion, the creature has many things it could have for it's power, the issue would be how would it move and hook.
- Dark Souls and Bloodborne would be amazing, but not happening.
- Jason, of course.
- A Quiet Place would be interesting.
- Resident Evil is another obvious one.
- Dead Space would be a dream come true.

Also are you forgetting that the Entity is the most powerful being in the world? Jason doesn't have anything against it. How can he fight something he can't even see or touch?

Currently looking into Little Nightmares and from what I have seen, this Video Game License could work as well and it gets a sequel next year!
The character might be a kid but they could just make him/her a young adult wearing that raincoat and give some lore reason..

It would be dope if Pamela's voice whispered to Jason depending on what he does. Killing a survivor, sacrificing or hooking one, letting them escape or get the exit gates powered, I can see tons of potential there.

I'll always be holding onto hope for Jason. A Camp Crystal Lake map would be tricky, but if done right I think it could be super cool. And of course Tommy Jarvis would make a good survivor to finish off the chapter.
I'd love a chapter for Candyman, Pinhead, or Jack Torrance as well

I'd like to apologize to the fnaf fans I'm sorry if I'm coming off a bit harsh for you're views on this character, but if we all like the same things,I guess menus wouldn't exist if you want fnaf then hey you want fnaf but do go bombarding the forum's with request because it will only make people dislike it more,speaking from experience

I think fnaf would be really fitting. The devs have expressed that they would want a fnaf chapter and would be fine with it. Another really far out dream of mine that would 100% NOT work is coraline, but its still sounds cool to me considering I spent years glued to that movie. Also lights out, with the killer being Diana, she could be another stealth character.

I would love Duane/Belial Legendary skin for Twins.
edit Considering how much the Dev team love retro Horror movies and have said that EVERY franchise has been considered at some point, I wonder if The Twins' power were created with these guys in mind?
Aside from that, Give us TONY THE PIMP from Demons!

The original creator/writer (Victor Miller) of the Friday the 13th license (first movie) sold/gave the rights to Cunningham.
now there is an US American law that gives the original creator the right to reclaim the license/copyright 30 years later or something. Cunningham says however the Skript was created while Miller was hired for this, so they should keep the rights.
the lawsuit is going on for a long time to determine who is going to be the rightful owner, until it is settled nothing can be created because no one has the rights to give permission.
(this isn’t 100 % accurate, only stuff I gathered from these forums)

Hell’s Priest (“pinhead”) would be interesting. But, it’d only make sense if it was Pinhead from Hellraiser 3, and the survivor was Elliot Spencer
