Behind on Tome
I did all of the challenges for tome level 3 and Im only on tier 40. Is anyone else dealing with this too? Im afraid cause Im 10 tiers behind and the math isnt adding up. I dont want to pay extra money to get the full benefit of my paid track

Unless you play a ton you're probably not gonna make it, but that's the point of the rift. It's not for casual players. (I only make it to about tier 50 each time I try.)
I think the reasoning is that if you hardcore push through it, and use the auric cells you get from the rift to pay for the next one it's always free. But that's a tall order lol.

Im at 49 and havent started the 4th level. Thing is, the battlepass punishes the better players. The more games it takes you to finish the challenges, the more you proceed through the rift. Im mediocre at best. Really good players that can finish every challenge in the least number of games have a bunch more farming to do at the end. Its all the same amount of shards but every time you fail a challenge is one less game you have to grind in the end

I've only just hit 50 today and no challenges done on the 4th set, but it's going to be a serious grind if I want 70, which I'm still undecided on. I saw in another post a while back a fantastic tip for levels. The Rift lasts 70 days, the same amount of levels it contains. So you can just earn at least 1 level per day and you're guaranteed to get 70.

Definitely the Fortnite model to battlepasses and I'm fine with it since it keeps the hardcore "gamers" keeping more matches going which in turn keeps queue timers lower. Rifts are just crummy cosmetics and usually charms anyway - no big deal if the average person doesn't bother with completing it or "dumps cast to buy rift levels" (BHVR wants this outcome)
