Why doesn't Undying have a notification?
If you cleanse a hex that's not Undying, why doesn't the game tell you that Undying activated and moved it to another totem? I've had multiple games where I have no idea how many hexes the Killer actually has because I'm not aware that Undying is in play

Hexes only notify you when you're directly under their effects (Retribution's aura doesn't count because it tells you about the oblivious). Since Undying never directly affects a survivor, it affects the totems, there's no notification about the perk.
Best thing to do is to cleanse all dull totems. 2nd best thing to do is keep track of the dulls- if a dull turns into a lit chances are Undying is in play and you can play around it.

It actually does directly effect Survivors because it reveals their Aura while cleansing. It should at least tell you that. There should be a notification about it at some point

No Aura reading perks have ever notified the player being revealed, there is no reason to change that now

That's true, but you also receive a notification if your aura is being revealed while cleansing when Blight comes screaming from halfway across the map to bonk your noggin for TOUCHING MAH BONES

I wish it did provide some indication especially when it transfers, so that at least you get credit for Soul Guard.

I'm pretty sure that Hex: Retribution notifies everyone when its cleansed. Unless I'm remembering it wrong since its not an overly common perk

Its because Undying is... odd.
The aura reveal is technically not tied to the hex, but to the perk itself which becomes deactivated when the hex is broken, whilst the hexes being relit are tied to the hex part of the perk. If that makes sense.

I think the best way to approach it is that once you cleanse a non-undying hex. You got the undying notification and the hex symbol is referring to undying instead of the perk you cleansed still being in effect.
So like your second hex ruin will technically be considered part of undying's hex

Retribution's aura doesn't count because it tells you about the oblivious
It doesn't notify you if your aura is revealed, and no perks ever have. If you really want a sure-fire way of testing then bring discordance and walk past a totem. Lose a token? Undying.

Perhaps a better way would be to remove the cursed warning, so when it gets reapplied people can go "Oh, so since that hex was dismantled and I have it again, undying is in play."

I don't actually think there's any delay after cleansing a Hex and it respawning. It's instant.
BUT that could be a nice nerf to the perk. Something like "the hex will transfer to an available dull totem after 10 seconds"

Doesnt stop that method working. It removes the cursed symbol when "cleansed" then when its reapplied people know theres undying. Though that nerf would be great to (and might end up being a discordance thing, where T1 might be better than T3)

well, you get an indirect notification in form of the other Hexes notification not disappearing.

Do you need a notification for every single perk the killer is running?
