Why didn't Yamaoka and Springwood receive unique exit gates?
Title. Dead Dawg Saloon and Hawkins both recieved a custom exit gate (I can't quite recall if Midwich did, I want to say it didn't), but Yamaoka and Springwood did not receive one with their graphical updates. Does this mean this won't be a feature for future maps/map updates?

That's actually quite a good point. One of my favourite features about Dead Dawg is the unique switches, kinda sad that other maps aren't gonna get them. Then again if I was a dev I don't know what would I do to customize an original exit gate for every single realm.

I'm Pretty disappointed too. At least make the doors look more unique if not the switches. I love how they changed the shack to match the realm, I would love the same done for the exit gates.

Dead Dawg is my favorite map and also cool exit gates. Maybe they will give all the maps special exits over tine. They've been adding so much lately. I love all the new updates...well except gen sound but at least they tried. 😊

Yeah there's always a chance they'll change them later but what better time to change them then now? When they're already updating everything else on the map.
Now I'm afraid this won't be a feature in future map updates and that is very disappointing. Yamaoka's exit gate could've looked so cool! :(

@Peanits? Not sure if you'll see this but thought I'd give it a try

It is kind of disapointing, but they could just add a special sound effect, like Midwitch. That has a normal gate, but when the gate opens, it activates the SH Siren, which from the game is usually the sign that the Otherworld is coming to an end. So they could make something unique from that. Badham could maybe play a Freddy tune, and Yamoaka could play maybe ghost sounds of ancient Samurai that haunt the grounds. Something unique like that on each map would be pretty cool

Yeah, there should be unique gates for the maps (also Dead Dawg needs a different sound effect... and MAYBE change the lightbulbs to gaslamps that flare up)
Badham could be an alarmclock, btw.
Also, I don't remember if this was mentioned as something they are planning, but will we also be getting unique Gens for every map at some point?

In terms of the gens, no I don't think so. At least I never recall them mentioning anything about that.

I don't think they would change that. As those spikes are technically the entity itself. Which is the same thing that blocks generators and vaults with Corrupt and Bamboozle. I think the devs want to show clear that the entity itself is making a change as soon as it happens. As opposed to the map changing to fit it's environment.

because who cares

I was definitely sad that the Dead Dawg gates didn't use some kind of steam whistle sound instead of the standard 3-Beeps when the gate is nearly open.
2 -
Doesn't It though? Steam comes out and has a sound at each light.

Those gates emit steam with each light, but use the same beeping audio that all the gates use when the third light turns on.
I was hoping for more of a classic steam-powered train whistle noise to be blared a few times instead of the beeps.

Ah I see. Still better then nothing.

I do like the sound effect.

So MacMillan didn't get unique exit gates either. I'm not too mad about it since it's like the original map, but still a little disappointed.
