There's a pretty strong loop on Ormond

Red are windows and yellow are pallets

Drawing not to scale

I honestly don't see any way to play around this loop I was going against a group of survivors when they started running around this loop. Bamboozle helped but not by much tell me if there's a way to play around this.

The broken crain is to the right and the door opening was to the left.

I forgot to add this on the picture there was a rock loop with a pallet straight ahead of the window which is a safe pallet.

Even as a legion main I can only say "welcome to ormond"

I'm I the only one who doesn't have a bigger issue with ormond? It's not really a big deal for me. (rank 3 killer)

Btw this is not a strong loop at all, the pallet is very unsafe windows are not that great either, plus you got a 4k with 4 gens left

I absolutely despise the map with a passion unless I'm playing PH or Nurse. It's a small map but feels massive due to the large middle building that can spawn up to two (2) god pallets, as well as almost every single pallet on the map being safe. Loops/tiles can be chained together to form obnoxiously long chases; I've once had a c wall link into a long wall link to a safe filler pallet (rock loop) link into Shack, which then linked into another c wall, to another rock loop, to another damn long wall. Thankfully I was playing survivor and throughout the entire game I was invincible and threw down 2 pallets. The other side of the map still had plenty of resources though, so it's not like I got the god side and another was a deadzone- there's too much to work with for the current match speed.

Map that released with Killer usually only work best for that specific Killer.

    • Remember McMillan key buildings used to have super strong windows, that can only stopped by traps. His traps are also blend much better than other realms.
    • Coldwind farm with nothing but corn only work for Billy (and now Oni)
    • Ormond size only work for Legion

Though as Trapper main, the building has so many place that traps become invisible, I love it. Same to Yamaoka high grass.

Uh, yes. The good old bar vault with the pallet on one side and doorway on the other and the other window lined up. You gotta love Ormond.

I still can't forget that one time when I had this layout, the other bar had the god vault as well. Icing on the cake, though, the two god pallets upstairs spawned back-to-back.

That window at the bar is actually a god window btw. it’s One of the very few ones left in the game, and not many people know how to run it. I actually think if you get blessed with all 3 bottom floor windows then it actually becomes an infinite when run by a very skilled survivor, but I could be wrong on this as I haven’t seen all 3 bottom floor windows spawn in a while.

There isn’t much you can do when a set-up like that spawns other than just hoping nobody on the survivor team actually knows how to run it.

The spawn of windows is rng + maps have strong and weak areas for killer / survivor. All you can do is defend generators far away from such spots and when a survivor reaches em leave em.

Focus on killing the others first and then you can take your time.

If you start playin Huntress you will see even worse map problems (pretty much a survivor reaching certain loops means you have to insta drop the chase cuz there is nothing you can do to shorten the chase cuz killer hitbox is bigger then survivor so they can run certain loops tighter and huntress is also slower then normal this could eat minutes of your team running in circles on a small 4m loop (no windows anything).

The strong loop on Ormond is Ormond itself.

Ormond is actually the most survivor sided map.

Ormond is basically the longest safe loop in the game, going all the way around and through the middle. 30+ safe pallets and strong af windows in the main building all linked together. Oh and it´s HUGE with barelay visible scratch marks if at all.

Yes, at least as of just before the latest chapter patch it was still possible. You could have the windows as in the op drawings plus another window on the other side. I know because I recorded a game with that layout.

Also, I just played a game on Father's Campbell with 3 windows open on the bottom floor. Absolutely disgusting.

the center window can easily be looped 3 times while gaining distance and that side window gives you a free pass to it or a free pass out after its entity blocked

If the survivor runs this loop correctly or you failed to counter it, then leave and go defend gens instead of wasting time

Ormond itself is one big strong loop.

Me neither, while the map is safe-pallet hell its also extremely easy to 3gen it, usually has at least 3 openings for 3gen, not saying is an easy map at all for Killers but not as hard as other maps which usually dont get as much hate as this like Mother's Dwelling, Fractured Cowshed and Rotten Fields.

    Plot twist:

Bvhr eliminate that loop but bring back the orange truck.

if a survivor uses their brain or if you don't have a power or perks that counter it just let them be immortal, genius

I've beaten it with Myers (Spooky Myers) a number of times. Hard yes, but I don't bother chasing and just go for ambush. Basement is great there... if you can get them in.

There is a thing called "leaving survivor to defend gens" with this strategy the games would be longer, you don't always have to down the survivor.

I do wish they would update Ormond..I still struggle to see distant aura's even after the update, might just be my eyes but the aura's and sometimes scatch marks are hard to see on this map

let me guess you were in favor of god windows when they were in the game

You either go up against bad survivors or are top 1 percent killer. The former is probably the truth though. There are set-ups on Ormond that a good survivor can run a killer on one window for 2-3 minutes without even using a pallet. Ormond is a problem, I would know as both killer and survivor at rank 1 since I can usually hold a killer for at least 4 gens on Ormond and i'm really greedy with pallets but that is if they commit too long which good killer don't do. As killer, I sweat on Ormond more than any other map because survivors usually just predrop pallets against me and 3 gens will pop before the first chase is over. The map is too safe overall.

I think Ormond is VERY strong for Survivors, however, there are clearly Killers who are less troubled by it. Ambush Killers (Spooky Myers, Pig, Ghostface, Wraith) aren't really inconvenienced because they don't really rely on the chase. Killers like Nurse and the Spirit likewise have good options and Ormond isn't really any worse for them than any other map.

I just chalk up Ormond being a bad draw if I'm not one of those Killers.

Ormond is a big loop by itself.. It was made for old Legion.

Old Legion could vault and down ppl fast

Um no? I play both sides and it's not a big kind of a deal if the survivor isn't toxic
