Blight or Doctor - New shard purchase?

Split down the middle on who to buy; any suggestions?

Already have every other shard killer except these two.

    Blight, imo.

I do enjoy speed on killers tbh and his mobility seems second to none really; especially since he has been fine tuned since release.

Also like you said he brings some very strong perks to the table.

    Blight has Hex:Undying.

    Doctor has Monitor&Abuse.

Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer is pretty good and can compete with red ranks.

Doctor is THE anti-stealth killer, and also ridiculous in a chase if you get good with him. However, he has no mobility and his perks are trash (except m&a, which has negative synergy with him)

Blight is THE mobility killer. He counters hold-W and forces survivors to be better than you in order to escape. He can spread damage as well as Huntress and Legion, zoom around the map better than Billy, and can use his power at most loops. His perks are all pretty decent as well.

Both of them are quite fun actually.

If you hate sneaky survivors like blendette, then doctor obviously.

If you want to down a survivor, and then go across the map instantly to chase another one, blight is for you.

Perk-wise, if you have good hex perks like ruin, blight is better choice for undying. If not, doctor because he has monitor, an universal perk that never goes wrong.

Don't get Doc until DC penalties are back.

Blight gotta say since he is a lore character that has been mentioned non stop since 3 years when no one knew who he really is and he is very fun to play as.

I see a lot of people here saying Blight but TBH he's labeled as a "hard difficulty" killer for a reason. If you're inexperienced, or not fully confident about your skills as killer, it certainly would not be the first killer I'd recommend. For this reason, I'd have to lean towards Doctor just because he's easier to use, counters Stealth, and can be effective in chases if you can time the shock at the pallet or window before the drop / vault. In this way you might actually see more success using and perfecting the Doctor before you're even able to use the Blight properly.

Doc has alot of potential for unique builds, moreso than Blight. His skill check tampering + various perks are fun to mess around with.

Red Stain add ons are nice too.

    He's more antiloop than Blight.

Blight - His perks are fun :)

Blight. He is pretty strong and has at least 1 god tier teachable.

Doc is amazingly fun but certain maps are an utter misery.

    What this guy said.

If you're talking about teachables only then most people have it right that Hex: Undying from Blight is in the "meta" at the moment by enabling a couple other hex perks... Monitor and Abuse from Doctor is really only "core" on Deathslinger and Meyers (Just optional a few others but not himself), while Overcharge and Overwhelming Pressence are nearly unusable past green ranks.

Gameplay wise - Blight requires more knowledge on tilesets and how to play the map using his power effectively also very hard to use on consoles/controllers. Doctor is far more forgiving for twitch reflexes and naturally creates tons of pressure if you aren't completely whiffing your static bursts. Medium antilooping abilities are easier to use than Blight's as well on both PC and Consoles.

I would pick Doc first. My favorite build on Doc is Thana, Sloppy, Coulrophobia, Distressing. It is not meta build and not guarantee you get 4k often but I like this build.

Both are really fun. Doc is easier to learn; you'll get good results with him sooner.

Hmmm, what sort of headache do you prefer.

    • Sound-induced? Doctor is very noisy. Zap laugh zap laugh scream scream scream.
    • Sight-induced? Smashing into walls causes about as much eye strain as Nurse’s blink fatigue, so Blight is your guy.
    • Not sure? Then pick one for his perks.

I don t see the fun playing with the Blight to be honest...

But Blight...has Undying. And is thus the only correct answer :D

The shock and Doc’s laugh are too good to pass up on. Plus, his terror radius w/ M&A tends to drive survivors crazy. Combo that w some of his add ons and perk build possibilities jus makes him really tough on survivors an super fun to play.

Blight is... well.. Blight. Pretty good, not as much thrill as Doctor tho, imo.

overrated perk, 50% chance it's gone on 1st totem.. Pop still has more value than 2 hexes

i would not spend 9k shards for Undying

blight is more fun, but if you’re a casual killer he can be pretty hard to play- especially if you’re on console or play with a controller. He had hex undying though, which is a very good perk to run with ruin- id even say its meta (but only with ruin.) that alone make him worth it imo. his other perks are pretty bad too, but can be fun for meme builds

Doctor is easier to play, but not as fun imo. Also, counters stealth so you can end immersion situations easily. Also, he has monitor and abuse, which is really good on a lot of killers. his other perks are really bad though.

Don't recommend Doctor to people, he builds bad habits and doesn't teach you how to find survivors and his gimmick is really hard to land for newbies. You're setting him up for failure. (Not to mention nobody likes Doctor.)

    Play Blight new bro.

Yeah but would you rather be learning a lethal killer like Nurse, Huntress or Blight or a killer that's quirky but not that strong? Still gonna recommend zoomie boi over zappy boi. I really don't think if you asked a survivor "Hey do you like playing against Doctor?" You'd find a yes.

Doc will cure those bad games

If you hate surrvivors that bully you

Or you want to have fun docs ya guy ppl will often say doc zzzzz but give a doc hater doc to play they end up suddenly doc its weird.

Doc has very versatile builds you can do

My fav is distressing m and a with double calm add ons that will cause a mindfuck because once they learn you have like a 12m tr when out of chase that fake tr often makes them ######### self's.

I think blight is much more fun than doc personally
