Obsessions

Is it important enough to carry a perk that makes someone an obsession in the game? I know that to some people, no obsession = free tunneling, so I wondered what the community's thoughts were on it. Especially since DS is bugged so nobody's bringing it to matches anymore.

If a killer is gonna tunnel, then they gonna tunnel.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

Honestly imo yes it is. Having an obsession is very, very important and I always hope my team have a perk. If they don't, then I try my best to bodyblock and make myself as easy of a target as possible so I take aggro and I get tunneled over them.

Because unfortunately, every single game thusfar without an obsession where I've been a survivor, I've been tunneled. So if I'm going to be, then I might as well give them a reason to.

Yes there is a difference. I try to always carry an obsession perk as survivor. Mainly because i play killer too and i know the difference between games with and without.

And no i dont tunnel purposely so almost never get hit with DS, but there is a feeling if relief when DS is not in play. Its akin to eating too much at thanksgiving amd finally unbuttoning your pants.

Many people will take advantage without obsession

Not really. A lack of obsession doesn't make killers tunnel, not in my experience. I'm starting to think that it's just an enormous case of confirmation bias, or people stretching the definition of "tunneling" to really mean "DS could have gone off if I had it."
