Body blocking madness

So I had about 5 games as a killer today, not all of them optimal of course, but I guess I reached the average 2 kills per game and that's all I ask for.

But the last match I played as a huntress was truly sad. I don't know if the survivors was on voice comm or whatever, but each time (5-6 time at least) I was about to guet someone on the hook, all the other guys (yeah all 3 of them !) body blocked me to hell until I was obliged to drop it. Save for the first 2 hooks right at the start of the game, I had NOT A SINGLE HOOK for the rest of the trial ! Of course I tried to drop the guy I was holding and chase one of the 3 guys crounching under the hooks, but once I caught one of them, they where healed and back again for party ... and body blocked me again.

Seriously this is getting ridiculous: how am I suppose to play this game as a killer, if the survivors have the capacity of negating my attemps to hook them ? Turns out they where kinda chasing me and not the other way around !!!

Maybe those survivors might think twice before throwing themselves on the path of the killer if they where that simple perk:
When the killer have a survivor under his grasp, all other survivors are exposed whithin in a 3/5/10 metre radius of any hook.

Slug them all then hook them.

You have options when survivors try to body block. You can:

1: Ignore them and try to move past.
2: Hit them and most likely still get your hook.
3: Hit them and lose your hook but will have injured at least a few.
4: Drop your current survivor and focus someone else.

Remember the more people there are body blocking you the less are on generators. Personally I love people who try to body block and either give me a free hit and waste their time or play so altruistically that no gens get done.

Had that a few times today (huntress main as well BTW) but after I smack them in the face they back off and I hook ( had a few flashlights as well still killed 2 and slugged one for it before they ran)

Usually I don't mind that at all, and of course most of the time, those who try to body block me end up injured for no reason at all. But this game ... I swear I tried each solution you just gave, because after the first succesfull body block, well, you gotta find a way around it. But still, each time I had one in my grasp, they forced me to throw him down.

I know I'm probably bad at this game, but it sounds so weird to me that the killer can't kick the survivors out of the way. I mean, I understand body blocking and why it matters as a strategy ; but why in earth would it be possible to prevent more than 5 attempt to hook someone in a single game ?!

Seriously, there are perks for nearly everything in DBD. Punishing body blockers as a surprise should be one of them. Sadly, the days where the game was suppose to oppose 4 scared survivors to a ruthless killer are long gone. Come on devs, give killers a little bit of respectability, or this kind of toxic nonsense will get worst and worst.

They literally gave you multiple moments to 4k but you couldn't use the chance.

You are a huntress. You can easily slug them. Just drop the survivor and start to chase and down others.

If all of them body blocking you, it also means that they are not doing gens. In addition to that, it means 4 of them will be injured and take additional time to heal up even if you can't down them.

I wish survivors body block me as well.

Head for basement might take longer but with all the time there blocking as you go to it your bound to slug or scare off then they have to go down there to release people and what not making it easier to slug wounded)

MegaWaffle's response was best. Just take those swings at them and slow them down.

If nothing else, you also have the option to run Agitation which speeds you up when you are carrying survivors, this makes it much harder for people to beat you to the hook (or you could just run Iron Grip to give yourself more time to get swings in)

You are describing a popular swf game . At this point like others have said get used to it , it is becoming more and more the standard of the game . You can drop them and try to keep slugging away eventually you might get a hook . It takes a minimum of 4 hits and 3 hooks to down a swf survivor if you tunnel and camp , a lot more if not . so either go for the one kill or do what they want and hit them so they can heal and get more bp farming you like that . there isn't any way to avoid those games , just have to accept it and go on .

What he said but again basement hook and have lv3 territory running patrol nearby gens and check after each nearby gen they go down there you know rush in and trap at stairs

Its crappy thing to do but it’s not bannable just as camping isn’t it’s just how they prefer to save their team without flashlight saves

There is nothing moraly wrong with the strategy. That's just frustrating to feel powerless. Even more in the role of a ruthless killer. Now, I'm not asking to ban body blockers ... like I said earlier: most of the time they're barely an annoyance. However, the very fact that running circles around the killer might be a valid strategy ... even with a very good survivor team VS a crappy killer, sounds like very bad design to me ... because who cares if the killer sucks: whatever he does he should always be seen as a threat by the survivors (not just a blood point cow to be milked). This is why I was begging (this is the whole point of this discussion) for the devs to consider making a perk who might punish overconfident survivors.

I think a perk (secretly) exposing survivors when the killer is holding someone might be fun. There probably need some kind of backfire or restriction, but AT LEAST, survivors might think twice before putting themselves into the killer's attack range.

Or a ultra rare grade perk that when your carrying a survivor everytime you hit a person you get a token and the walk time increases every 5 tokens =Mori/insta downs while holding so if your gonna be dicks watch your friend die and have them rage at you for it

I've switched to running sloppy butcher on all my builds. It is very strong vs bodyblock teams.

It's very good on Huntress, Billy, Leatheface since the effect is applied through hatchets and saws.

@Vietfox @MegaWaffle are exactly right slug them. When you encounter this adapt your strategy. Body block i will take the free hits.

I remember swf try to bodyblock my Leatherface. They sure didn't think I'd drop the survivor. In the end they were all reunited in Bubba's basement

You got bullied at melee range, as Huntress? Time to teach you her master strategy: The Melee Hatchet.

The hatchet throw cooldown is shorter than the standard attack cooldown. If the survivors get in your face use a hatchet throw followed by a melee attack to quickly down them.

This is an issue that use to aggravate me like crazy when I was new. The only thing I can assure you is you'll learn to deal with it the more you play. You can tell when they are about to do this. If they are crowding the hook before you even get there, drop the survivor and go annihilate them while guarding your downed survivor. It might seem unfair for them to do this, but it balances out actually. With all 4 of them there trying to cheese your kill, not a single one is working on a gen, that's HUGE. If you were good enough to anticipate it, you can end up with 2 survivors hooked and the other 2 injured.
