I just noticed something and wanted to ask a lore related question. The Oni and The Spirit both share the same last name. Yamaoka. Are they related in some way? Neither of the lore of both of the characters mentions anything about this. Is this just cause or what?

This is also why in her cutscenes she has a sword. It has to do with her heratige(?)

Yes, They are both related. Note the image (Specifically the last line.)

Yes, it's also important to note that Kazan created the wrath of the Yamaoka bloodline, hence why Rin has Oni behind her in her tome backstory (and how she whooped all those men's asses)
