Do you know what a binomial distribution is?

If you really don't want a survivor to leap off the hook, then ofc you're entitled to stand in front of the hook as he/she tries to escape. I'm surprised that the occasion for the 4% is happening so frequently in your games. What in the world are you and your survivors doing to have so many people on first hook needing to attempt escape?
The 4% chance is always a cool mechanic imo. It's only an issue when the survivor has DS, and since most survivors run DS...well, you get the point.

Not gonna lie, I totally forgot about that—

The probability of success/failure does not change attempt to attempt. Each one is still at 4%.

You're about to hate them a lot more with the new slippery meat.

I'll ask you what I asked the other person: do you know what a binomial distribution is?

I just want to say that u are absolutely right. I ran a trial run and tried to Kobe every single time, and indeed, it was quite difficult. At some point I lost count, but that 4% seems accurate.
There was no increase in percentage when trying to unhook myself when I'm the last one alive. Out of about 15x, I was able to unhook myself once.
I was really surprised and I stand corrected. Thank u for ur input.

I'm surprised you actually went to the trouble of testing it. Most people just stick to their guns because they're incapable of considering they might be wrong, like flat earthers. Kudos to you, keep that up.

Wow you really stooped this low dude.

Hatch instant free escape? That's funny
0 -
If the last survivor finds it before the killer? Yes, it absolutely is. Hell, if the last few survivors happen to find a key and the hatch, it's also a free escape.

You know how many times hatch is spawned and how easy it is to look for it? Simple just slug the last survivor or keep an eye out or just don't care. Killers have hatch priority so its not that hard to prevent the free escape.
1 -
Yeah, but that's not the situation I was talking about. I also didn't say how easy or difficult it'd be to prevent it. I just said that if the last survivor finds the hatch before the killer, that survivor gets a free escape, then added that if the last few survivors find the hatch and a key, they also get a free escape. You're talking about a different scenario altogether.

It's common because it's 4%.
Every survivor can attempt 3 times. 3 x 4 = 12% for 4 survivors so 48%. Basically, if everyone attempts to kobe every second match someone will do it.
Let alone luck offerings, newly buffed slippery meat, up the ante, deliverance... Also, some archive challenges encourage people to bring those perks so they can kobe.

That's not how probability works.

Ahhh I wish you could have said that a hit better so as to not make it so easily misconstrued but yeah if its open or the last guy is dying and the survivor gets it yeah he gets to leave.

I think they're way too rare, should be increased.
