Is Dead by Daylight ever going to be TRULY balanced?

    No, it will never be 100% balanced because it is a 4v1 asymmetrical game, which precludes 'balance' as most here understand the term. There are too may variables to each match due to the number of perks available, and the builds that can be created by combining those perks, and then of course the main variable being the Killer in a given match and their unique abilities. That in and of itself compels Survivors, if they're smart(which is an entirely different topic)to adjust their strategy and approach on each match, after(hopefully)gaining knowledge of who the killer is and what perks they might be running.

    Your current match may be similar to your last match, but it will never be completely the same, and even your likelihood of surviving(or getting a 4x)will change with each match as well. That's asymmetry, and it's why we all keep playing. :)

    this game isn't that bad as balance wise.. voice chat for solo survivors would be a nice thing so devs wouldn't have to balance around solo AND swf.. ppl could disable it but they are in disatvantage then

    Short answer, no. This game is an asymmetrical horror game. Asymmetrical being the key word. It's designed to be unbalanced.

    If you want a balanced game go play cod on a symmetrical map with everyone with the same weapons and equipment.

    I love how the number 1 comment people make is asymmetrical games like this with diverse classes can never be balanced. This is an excuse for poor balance updates. It could be much, much better without being close to perfect.

    Nobody wants or expects "perfect balance"

    The current state of the game is such that if you were betting in vegas on whether survivors or a killer would win in a tournament, there would never be a reason to choose killer unless the odds were 50:1 and otz was playing against the worst team in the tourny.

    In terms of balance outside of that, there is none. This game is "balanced" as such for new players on console with a few weeks of experience all solo vs veteran killers on PC. Period.

    With this game being asymmetrical with this type of community and BHVR not doing anything to sort out the community? No, it never will.
